Heather Sears

Administrative Officer

As the Administrative Officer of the Marine Science Center, Heather is responsible for managing all faculty grants and Center funds, as well as serving as a point of contact between Center personnel and all administrative functions of the University.  Heather began her career as a molecular biologist, obtaining a PhD in Biology from MIT.  After three years as a postdoc at Harvard School of Public Health and much soul-searching, Heather left research and made a career change into accounting.  Heather spent two years as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining the staff of the Marine Science Center, where she merges her love of biology with her passion for forms, rules, and numbers.
