Genea will be developing and implementing the Beach Sister Program, in a partnership between the MSC and Girls Inc. of Lynn. Beach Sister will provide after-school environmental literacy content for members of Girls Inc., with an emphasis on habitats and human impacts within the local watershed and along the coastline. Genea holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Biology from Wellesley College. She has conducted independent research projects studying sea urchin populations in Glover's Reef, Belize and the range of climate change effects on marine protected areas in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
