1950s
Elliott Adelman, BA’51, of Montebello, California,
writes, “My younger daughter, her husband, and our three grandchildren
have moved from Tel Aviv to Toronto. Not having to make an 8,000-mile
flight from Los Angeles to see them is a joy. I teach the AARP Driver
Safety course (55 Alive) ten times a year. The course is given all
over the United States. In most states, it earns a discount on auto-insurance
premiums.”
Jim Archibald, BA’56, of Birmingham, Alabama,
and Bruce Davis, BA’58, of Foley, Alabama, won their flight
in an Alabama Seniors Golf Association Best Ball Tournament in Sandestin,
Florida, last November. Bruce’s wife, Carol (Johnston), BA’58,
and Jim’s wife, Jean, cheered them on to victory.
