Koch, BA’90, of Wallingford, Connecticut, has been named vice president, human resources, at United Natural Foods. He joined the company in 2001, and most recently served as its vice president of risk and compliance. United Natural Foods carries and distributes more than 40,000 products to over 17,000 customers nationwide. Steve Ostrovitz, CJ’90, MJ’91, of Framingham, Massachusetts, writes that he spent the last twelve years in private law practice and as department chair of the legal studies program at Newbury College, in Brookline. He recently left both positions to become the first director of the Jewish Emergency Management System, an agency of Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) of Boston, where he will be responsible for CJP security matters and will consult with temples, schools, Jewish Community Centers, and similar entities on security and emergency preparedness. Andrea Patisteas, GB’90, of Rochester, Massachusetts, is the vice president of sales and marketing for STD Med, a medical manufacturing company. In December 2007, she was named Rochester’s Woman of the Year. She and her husband, Tony Resendes, have three children: Benjamin, fourteen; Samuel, eleven; and Mia, nine. Thirteen years ago, Patisteas and her husband adopted Lewis, a man with Down syndrome, who today is fifty-eight years old. Patisteas met Lewis when she was an undergraduate volunteering at a center for developmentally challenged people. Betty St. Sauveur, UC’90, of Allston, Massachusetts, is the new vice president of network products at health-payment solutions provider Viant. Most recently, she served as vice president of operations at Private Healthcare Systems. Prior to that, she held several positions with Tufts Health Plan. Charles A. Stevens, BA’90, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, has become the vice president and general manager of health policy and strategic reimbursement services at Parexel, a bio/pharmaceutical services organization. Previously, Stevens held senior-level reimbursement positions at Cephalon and Cell Therapeutics. Jeffrey Charron, PAH’91, of Port Charlotte, Florida, has been appointed a managing pharmacist at Harrington’s Pharmacy North, in Naples, by digiMedical Solutions. He is in charge of the pharmacy’s license, inventory, and personnel. Formerly, he was a registered pharmacist with Walgreens. Paul Primavera, BA’91, of Baltimore, has been named senior vice president of construction claims at Lockton, the world’s largest privately held insurance broker, based in Kansas City, Missouri. He was previously senior vice president, construction national practice, at Willis. V. Shankar, MBA’91, of Sterling, Michigan, set up TVS America’s operations in Michigan and now works out of the TVS Group’s corporate office in India, spending time in both Chennai and Detroit. TVS Group is India’s leading supplier of automotive components. Suzanne (Burnham) Wade, AS’91, has been accepted into the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to study toward a master of divinity degree. She and her husband, Rich, E’91, live in Mansfield with their two children. Rich earned a master’s degree in computer science from Boston University in January 2007. Louis Bertocci, BA’92, of Winchester, Massachusetts, has been promoted to partner at Boston Ventures, a private equity firm. Since joining Boston Ventures in 1996, Bertocci has been active in the firm’s communications investments. Previously, he was an assistant vice president in Fleet Bank’s specialized lending division. Catherine Dennis, UC’92, of Chicago, recently became the vice president of sales and operations at Network Foundations. Previously, she worked at Saratoga Systems. “Though I enjoyed living in Northern California, I was offered the opportunity to create the sales, marketing, and operations organizations for a three-year-old utility computing company,” she writes. “The company provides IT infrastructure and support for health-care and financial organizations at a fixed price per month, with no long-term contract and no need for capital outlay. Also, the job returned me to my second home—Chicago—where I enjoy city life and many friends.” Rachael Grace, BHD’92, of Ashland, Massachusetts, is a senior physical therapist at Spaulding Framingham in its outpatient rehabilitation center. She specializes in the treatment of multiple medical, neurological, and orthopedic diagnoses. Susan Legere, BA’92, of Newton, Massachusetts, produced a fifty-minute documentary on immigrant service workers for her graduate work in sociology at Boston College. The film was shown at the Boston Latino International Film Festival in October 2007. Sandra (Schnairson) Maturo, AS’92, married Ralph Maturo Jr. in October 2002. They live in Bellingham, Massachusetts, with their twin sons, Jake and Anthony, who were born July 30, 2007. Sandra is a seventh-grade English teacher. Steven Pettengill, CJ’92, of Topsfield, Massachusetts, has been appointed vice president, commercial and real estate division, at North Shore Bank. Pettengill, who has a master’s degree in finance from Bentley College, was formerly with TD Banknorth. Kristie Arden (Frew) Reilly, AS’92, and Kevin Reilly, E’89, of Long Beach, New York, were married in October 1997. Kristie and Kevin met at Maxwell Jumps as undergrads. Kristie says she especially misses the Kerr Hall girls of 1988–1989 and hopes they are all doing well. Richard Gockelman, CJ’93, of Newton, Massachusetts, was recently awarded the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation by the Investment Management Consultants Association. Gockelman is an internal consultant with Placemark Investments in Wellesley. He and his wife, Vicky, have two children, Alicia and Richard. Paulux Jean-Charles, UC’93, of Wellington, Florida, has been promoted to assistant vice president at Ocean Bank, the largest independent commercial bank chartered and headquartered in Florida. In addition, he has been nominated for the Who’s Who in Black South Florida Award. Doug Luffborough, BA’93, and his wife, Claire (Navarro), celebrated the birth of their third child, Douglas Dante, on September 4, 2007. His older sisters are Makenna and Micaela. The family lives in Chula Vista, California. “Best wishes to the class of ’93,” writes Luffborough. “Been a long time.” Kenneth Mack, L’93, has become a partner in the New York City law firm Chadbourne & Park. Currently, he is the managing partner in the firm’s Kazakhstan office. His experience is in oil, gas, minerals, capital markets, bank finance, project finance, electric energy, and telecommunications in Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and Russia. Dennis P. O’Brien, MPA’93, of Beverly, Massachusetts, has been hired as vice president and commercial loan officer at Northeast Bank, which is headquartered in Lewiston, Maine. Previously, O’Brien worked at Reliant Mortgage, in Wakefield, Massachusetts, as a senior loan officer. Miklos Sandorfi, E’93, of Northborough, Massachusetts, was a featured panelist at Storage Networking World, an international storage-networking conference held in Dallas in October 2007. His panel discussed data de-duplication, an emerging data-protection technology. Sandorfi is chief technology officer at Sepaton, a data-storage company in Marlborough. Ezra Schattner, AS’93, of Salem, Massachusetts, is working at New York Life Insurance in Waltham. “I just got the opportunity to join New York Life as a life insurance and financial services agent,” he writes. “It is a great opportunity for me and my family.” Ellen (Cebulski) Schena, AS’93, MA’96, and Daniel Schena, AS’96, celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Danica Skye, on May 16, 2007. The baby’s older sister is Catherine Eleanora. The family lives in Saugus, Massachusetts. Christopher M. Young, AS’93, of Guilford, Connecticut, writes, “After six and a half years as a vice president of a local bank, I decided to move on to a new career that will give me more flexibility. I need the flexibility, because my wife, Gloria, and I had twin baby boys on May 30, 2007. Needless to say, my life is just a little crazy, but great. Zachary and Noah are healthy and beautiful. My new career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network is also going well.” Marc Moschetto, AS’94, formerly of Millville, Massachusetts, is the new editorial director at Control Engineering, part of Reed Business Information. He was previously director of manufacturing industry marketing and market development at Workbrain. Basel Salloum, CS’94, of Manhasset, New York, has been promoted from technology director to vice president of technology at Avenue A/ Razorfish, an interactive-services firm. In his new role, he will manage strategic directions for the agency’s Northeast-region technology group and build enterprise-level digital solutions for clients. Michael Spadea, CJ’94, L’02, writes, “After practicing law for five years in Massachusetts and Connecticut, I recently moved to London with my wife, Whitney P. Hicks, also L’02. Connolly, BA’95, of Canton, Massachusetts, is the new vice president of advertising at the Providence Journal. He joined the company in 2004 as advertising senior sales director. Kelly Jones, BA’95, of New York City, has been named director and marketing manager for the ultra-high net-worth segment at UBS Financial Services, working out of offices in Manhattan and Weehawken, New Jersey. Gagne is a senior consultant at Avakian and Associates, a political public-relations company based in Massachusetts and Ohio. Ansara is a national organizing director at the nonprofit Stand for Children. Sheila Mehta-Green, MA’96, PHD’03, of Arlington, Massachusetts, is the new vice president of sales at Digication, which develops solutions and strategic programs for the education market. Formerly, she worked at Tegrity, strengthening the company’s East Coast sales presence and collaborating on marketing and strategic plans for building its customer base. Yuriy Dunayevskiy, PHD’97, of Newton, Massachusetts, has been appointed a research fellow at Advanced Viral Research, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to anticancer drug discovery and development. He brings eleven years of biotechnology research and management experience to his post. Formerly, he served as principal scientist and group leader for new technology and assay development at Cetek. Benjamin Edmond, BA’97, of Elbridge, New York, recently started a network-services company, Telecom Inventory, which helps businesses get the most out of their networks. Formerly, he was the vice president of marketing at Time Warner Telecom, where he worked for eight years. John St. Amand, ME’97, of Moultonborough, New Hampshire, has joined Highland Capital Partners as a venture partner. He is the founder and former CEO of Telica, a Highland-backed company that specialized in advanced switching and transmission telecommunication equipment. When Telica was acquired by Lucent in 2004, St. Amand served as president of Lucent’s converged core networks. Following the Alcatel and Lucent merger, he became the president of multicore networks. Lucy Goreham, MSF’98, of Norfolk, Massachusetts, is the new CEO and president at Boston Investor Services, an administrative-services firm for professional investors. Goreham has been with the company since it was formed in 1993. Laura Waters, AS’98, and Christopher Burns were married on October 7, 2007, at Saint Brigid Church in Lexington, Massachusetts. Adam Matthews, BA’99, and Katie (Pierce) Matthews, N’99, celebrated the birth of their daughter, Ruth Marie, on June 8, 2007, in Massachusetts General Hospital. The family lives in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Melissa (Even) Moore, L’99, and husband Michael welcomed the arrival of a baby girl, Story McKenna. She was born on October 11, 2007, weighing in at 8 lbs., 1 oz. “Story is truly a joy,” the proud mom writes. “She and her parents can’t wait to move back to New England in June.” The family currently lives in Phoenix. Jenn (Yeo) Smith, CJ’99, of Cataumet, Massachusetts, and her husband, Matt, CJ’96, celebrated the birth of their first child, Owen Thomas, on October 7, 2007.
