Cristina Beamud, L'90, formerly of Medford, Massachusetts, became the first police auditor in Eugene, Oregon, in August. She was previously the police auditor in Cambridge.

Gary D. Milgram, BA'90, and his wife, Kara, celebrated the birth of their first child, Ethan Robert, on July 12. The family lives in Santa Barbara.

Walter Perlman, MEd'90, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, writes, "I have done many different things since graduation. I worked as a co-op coordinator at Wentworth Institute of Technology for eleven years. Twelve years ago, I started my own photography business, capturing bar mitzvahs and weddings. I run bar mitzvah and wedding expo shows. More recently, I have been designing and creating abstract art out of water, fabric paint, sand, clock gears, metal pieces, wrenches, paper clips, glass, and special lighting. I design these images on light boxes and photograph the images with macro photography. I capture the images on film, not digitally. I have created a greeting-card line. Five local art galleries, a puzzle and game store, and two clock museums sell my work. I won first place in fine-art photography in the New England regional show of the Cape Cod Art Association in June 2005. " Samples of his work can be seen at www.barmitzvahphotos.com.

Joe Schab, BA'90, of Atlanta, is the president and chief executive officer at Creative Digital Group, an interactive marketing company based in Atlanta. He is married and has two children.

Jon Boroshok, MBA'91, lives in Groton, Massachusetts, with his wife, Caren, and children, Stephanie and Tyler. Boroshok has run his own public relations firm, TechMarcom, since 1999. He's also a journalist whose work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, the Christian Science Monitor, and other publications. He has been an adjunct instructor of marketing communications at Emerson College since 2002 and at Bentley College since 2004. Frances A. Drollette, MBA'91, of Belmont, Massachusetts, is the new vice president for budget and planning at Brandeis University. She began her career at Brandeis in 1976, working in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, rising through the ranks to become an associate director in the Office of Budget and Planning. Starting in 2002, Drollette worked as the associate dean for administration and finance at the Boston University School of Public Health.

Kathryn Goodfellow, AS'91, MA'93, and Darren Beals, BA'99, of Lakeville, Massachusetts, celebrated the birth of their son, Alden Graeme, on June 8 at Brigham and Women's Hospital, in Boston. Katie is the director of development communications at Brigham and Women's and an adjunct lecturer at Northeastern's School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Darren is assistant vice president in the fund-treasury department at investment-management company Massachusetts Financial Services. He earned his MBA in 2005 at Babson College. Katie and Darren have been married for ten years.

Erin E. Lanciani, BA'91, of Lynnfield, Massachusetts, is the vice president of human resources at biotechnology company Adnexus Therapeutics in Waltham.

Patrick Pirkl, BA'91, and his wife, Trudy, celebrated the birth of their third child, Emma Claire, in late July. The family lives in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. The baby's siblings are Laura and Michael. Pirkl was a member of the NU Hiking and Outdoors Club.

Elsie Kappler, L'92, of McLean, Virginia, writes, "After nearly four years as an environmental attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, I made the move to the Federal Trade Commission, where I am now enforcing the nation's consumer protection laws. My husband,

Steven Bloom, L'92, is the director of government relations at Independent Sector, an association of large and small foundations and nonprofit organizations. We have both found the move out of the private practice of law gratifying, and feel privileged to do work that is intellectually stimulating and serves the public interest. Our lives continue to be enriched by our three children, Meredith, Benjamin, and Helen. "

George Manousos, BA'92, of Vienna, Virginia, recently rejoined the Washington national tax-services office of accounting and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as a partner. He will serve as a national resource on various matters, including advising clients on complex technical tax issues. Previously, Manousos was a taxation specialist in the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Tax Policy. He first worked in PWC's Boston office from 1992 to 2002, providing tax consulting and compliance services to a broad range of multinational, middle-market, and emerging market companies. He also serves as an adjunct professor for the graduate tax program at American University's Kogod School of Business.

Joseph W. Pieri, AS'92, GB'95, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, has been the assistant dean of undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, for the past three years. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Olivia and Sofia.

Jocelyn (Valente) Wackrow, AS'92, of Linden, New Jersey, and her husband, Jonathan, celebrated the birth of a son, Carter Louis, on May 30 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. The baby's older brother is Hunter Joseph.

Jim McCarty, BA'93, of South Daytona, Florida, writes, "Janea and I moved from Jacksonville in December and celebrated the birth of our son, Connor James, on August 21. Thomas E. Oram, MBA'93, of Marietta, Georgia, is the chief financial officer at LogistiCare, a transportation provider in Atlanta.

Kim (Malloy) Salmon and Matt Salmon, both BB'93, GB'00, of North Grafton, Massachusetts, celebrated the birth of their second child, Kayzie, in May. Matt is the vice president of quality, innovation, and programming at the Salmon Family of Services, a provider of senior housing, skilled nursing, and health-care services.

Miklos Sandorfi, E'93, of Northborough, Massachusetts, is the chief technology officer at SEPATON, a data-protection company in Marlborough. He was a featured panelist at the StoragePlus 2006 conference in September.

Steven Smith, AS'93, of Berkeley, California, has joined the faculty of the Santa Clara University School of Law, where he teaches legal writing and advocacy. Chris Adams, AS'94, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, reports that he, Rob Chella, AS'95, John Gettings, AS'96, and Scott Souza, AS'96, have created http://www.crystalair.com, a parody and satire website that covers politics, sports, business news, and entertainment. Adams is a traffic reporter at WBZ Radio, in Boston, and Sirius satellite radio. Chella is an account manager at Comcast Cable. Gettings is managing editor at Fair Winds Press. Souza is sports editor at the Daily News Tribune in Waltham.

Benjamin Albert, AS'94, L'98, MBA'03, started medical school on August 18. He writes, "After practicing law (and loving it) for the past nine years in Boston, I moved to West Hartford, Connecticut, and married a wonderful woman. I'd welcome news from friends. Marc Altman, E'94, married Robyn Holdsworth in September 2005. They live in Medford, Massachusetts. "Robyn and I first met when we were working on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball," writes Marc. Bill Barrale, AS'94, of Williamstown, Massachusetts, is the new head baseball coach at Williams College. He was previously head baseball coach and assistant football coach at Norwich University. Barrale played baseball and football at Northeastern.

Ed Flavin, AS'94, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, writes about his company Advanced Life Services, which has licensed Cethromycin, an oral antibiotic: "This is the company our family took public last August (2005). We were featured in BusinessWeek. This is the second company in five years we have taken public on the NASDAQ."

Tom Jacobus, CJ'94, of Corona, California, earned his master's in criminal justice from Anna Maria College in 1996 and moved to Southern California in 2003 to assume his post as manager of security at Southern California Edison. Maria Carles, GB'95, PHD'98, of Salem, Massachusetts, is the vice president of scientific operations at Gwathmey, a Boston-based company that bridges the gap between chemistry and biology for companies seeking federal approval for their drugs.

Michael Cronin, GB'95, writes, "My wife, Ann Marie, and I, and our three-year-old daughter, Isabella, are living in the rural northern New Hampshire community of Whitefield, where I am one of two district school psychologists." Cronin was the 2004 New Hampshire School Psychologist of the Year and runner-up for the National School Psychologist of the Year award in 2005. Timothy Enwright, MBA'95, of Groton, Massachusetts, is the senior vice president of consumer business at IBasis, an international voice-communications company in Burlington. Rheba Rutkowski, L'96, of Revere, Massachusetts, is an appellate attorney at the Boston firm Bingham McCutchen, where she focuses on constitutional and federal jurisdiction issues. She has worked on cases at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the U.S. Supreme Court, including the Anna Nicole Smith case, in which her firm represented the son of Anna Nicole Smith's late husband in the dispute over the late oil tycoon's fortune. Rutkowski's pro- bono work includes such issues as a race-discrimination case involving the Massachusetts Association of Minority Law Enforcement Officers, prisoners' rights (including those of the Guantanamo Bay detainees), and the death penalty. Working as a lawyer is Rutkowski's third career. She was an actor, light technician, and stage manager at theaters in New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Then she was a scientist at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Carolyn (Kelley) Bandklayder, CJ'97, MJ'99, of Miami, writes, "I have set up a scholarship in memory of my parents. It will go to any student who has lost a parent to either heart disease or cancer, and who has financial need. It is a great way to honor anyone who may have lost to either of these terrible diseases and help an NU student at the same time." Kristen and Denny plan to honeymoon in St. Maarten and St. Barthelemy during the winter holidays.

Aidan Cullen, MBA'97, of Mountain View, California, is the vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Sylantro Systems, a supplier of feature servers for hosted Internet phone services in Campbell.

Beth Lindstrom, MBA'97, of Groton, Massachusetts, was appointed to the board of directors of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority by Governor Mitt Romney in June. She previously was the state's director of consumer affairs and business regulation, and executive director of the Massachusetts State Lottery.

Yvonne E. Marciano, L'97, of Albany, New York, is a senior associate with O'Connell and Aronowitz, in Albany. She was formerly an associate at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae. Marciano has served as a clerk to Judge Frederick J. Scullin Jr. and Chief Judge Norman A. Mordue of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. "It's a switch in practice areas from environmental law to health-care litigation and federal practice, as well as a focus on personal balance by leaving a large firm for a smaller, more intimate one, " she writes of her move to O'Connell and Aronowitz.

Mala M. Rafik, L'97, of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, is a partner in the Boston firm Rosenfeld & Rafik, specializing in health-care and long-term disability law. She was born in India, raised in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and educated in Dubai and the United States. Of the career choice she made back in fourth grade, she notes, "Someone asked me what I wanted to do when I grow up. I said, 'A lawyer helping people.' It's all I ever wanted to do. " Her childhood in the UAE greatly influenced the choice, she explains. "There was never freedom of expression, freedom of speech. Women were certainly lesser. There was no gender equity. It drove me to want to be a human-rights lawyer."

Victor D. Antoniello, ME'98, of Harrisville, Rhode Island, is a senior engineer at engineering consulting firm Power Delivery Consultants, where he specializes in underground cable systems.

Amylyn (Levitin) Graver, AS'98, of Branford, Connecticut, is a principal at Element Graphic and Web Design, an advertising and public-relations company in New Haven.

Christina (Cuttle) McNeil, E'98, ME'00, and David McNeil, E'00, got married on June 3 in Independence Harbor, Assonet, Massachusetts. They live in Medford. Four engineering majors from the class of 2000 participated in the ceremony: Peter Liu as best man, Marc Larosee as a groomsman, and Rebecca Pike and Jen Tentrakool-Liu as bridesmaids. Christopher Doscher, AS'99, of Alexandria, Virginia, is engaged to marry Laura Laskowski. Doscher is the news editor and assistant director of communications at the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a part-time youth instructor at Capital Jiu-Jitsu.

Daniel C. Hill, L'99, of Boston, is a senior associate at Anderson & Kreiger, where he specializes in representing municipalities and abutters looking to fight Chapter 40B developments. The statute allows developers to bypass local permitting processes in cities or towns where less than 10 percent of housing is considered affordable, if the projects include such housing.

Stephen May, MBA'99, of Mansfield, Massachusetts, is the senior vice president of global marketing at Cynosure, a laser technology company in Westford.

Melissa (Even) Moore, L'99, and Michael D. Moore were married May 6 in Sedona, Arizona. They live in Phoenix. "We are happily living in the desert, " she writes. "I am teaching tenth-grade English at a charter school and also teaching a few law courses at a local college. My husband is a detective, and we share our home with our six cats and two dogs."

Derek Roche, CJ'99, of Glastonbury, Connecticut, and his wife, Karen, welcomed the birth of a son, Liam Patrick, on October 25, 2005, at Pocono Medical Center, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Kaitlin is Liam's older sister. "We are excited to be back in the area," writes Roche.
