Elizabeth (McNamara) Cozzolino, AS'00, and Kevin Cozzolino, CJ'01, celebrated the birth of their son, Matthew James, on June 10 in Norwich, Connecticut, where the family lives. "Kevin and I are thrilled to be back in New England after some time in the South, and even more thrilled by the birth of our son," writes Elizabeth.

Ja-Nae Duane, AS'00, of Medford, Massachusetts, writes, "Hi, everyone. I hope all is well. Ruth Hassan, AS'00, of New York City, is one of the contributors to The Election after Reform: Money, Politics, and the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act, a collection of studies assessing the effects of the Campaign Reform Act. The book is published by Rowman & Littlefield Publishers.

Antonette Jerrick, BA'00, of Maplewood, New Jersey, celebrated the birth of a son, Anthony Jeremiah, on January 10 in Brooklyn. She writes, "A future Husky has been born. He was a hefty boy at birth, but the delivery was only thirty minutes."

Amy Miles, AS'00, of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, earned an MBA from Bentley College and works in the information technology department at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. She says she'd like to hear from Kennedy Hall friends by e-mail at amiles7979@comcast.net.

Kelly (Poulin) O'Neil, BHS'00, and Brian O'Neil, BHS'00, of Meriden, Connecticut, are proud to announce the birth of a daughter, Jayne Elizabeth, in July.

Melissa Perrone, BA'00, of Austin, is the assistant rowing coach at the University of Texas. A former Northeastern rower, she had been a volunteer and interim assistant coach at Texas.

Matt Romeling, BHS'00, of Allston, Massachusetts, is a clinical research coordinator at Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center by day and a sports radio broadcaster in Milford by night. Romeling, who broadcast sports on Northeastern's WRBB-FM as a student, announced all the baseball games for the Milford Legion team this past summer on WMRC-AM.

Julia (Khaw) Sullivan, AS'00, and Timothy Sullivan were married August 6, 2005, in Boston with several Northeastern alumni and faculty in attendance. The couple lives in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Yohannes Assefa, L'01, of Rochester, New York, is an associate at Harris Beach, where he practices mainly business and corporate law. Vice chairman of the International Law Section of the National Bar Association and vice president of the Rochester Black Bar Association, Assefa traveled to Ethiopia, his homeland, in June for a ten-day series of seminars and presentations on law and business.

Doug Carlson, AS'01, and Erin Butler, BA'02, were married June 18, 2005, in North Reading, Massachusetts. They live in Wakefield. "We met in our freshman year at Northeastern," writes Erin. Doug was a member of the varsity hockey team, and Erin was president of Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority. Doug is now self-employed in health- and life-insurance sales. Erin is working toward a master's degree in elementary education.

Michael Cooney, AS'01, of Presque Isle, Maine, is the district executive of the Katahdin Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. "I was looking for a job where I could really make a difference and, well, I've found it," writes Cooney. "I live in the Great White North of Presque Isle and am creating programs in some places that are just really 'wide spots in the road.' The biggest challenge is bringing optimism to an area that all too often lacks it. But I have a great job, and I work with some great volunteers."

Patricia Wellington, UC'01, formerly of Mansfield, Massachusetts, writes, "My preschooler and I moved to Wisconsin to enjoy cleaner air, great schools, and an opportunity for archeological fieldwork after many years in Massachusetts. I'm a contracts paralegal."

Jennifer Bradley, AS'02, and John Celata, AS'05, were joined in marriage on June 10, 2006, at Holy Family Church in New Rochelle, New York. A reception followed at the Glen Island Harbour Club. Jennifer is employed at DeVries Public Relations in New York City as a publicist for Pantene and Noxzema beauty brands. John is employed at Morgan Stanley in Purchase. After a honeymoon in Hawaii and Napa Valley, the newlyweds returned to their home in Bronxville.

Helen Coy, CJ'02, of Worcester, Massachusetts, is the director of Sargent House, a Boston group home for at-risk or delinquent male teenagers.

Seth Friedbauer, BA'02, and Yael Karta were married on September 3 in Beit Govrin Caves, in Israel. Seth is owner of an import-export company, and Yael is completing her MBA. They live in Jerusalem.

Michael O'Connor, CJ'02, and Cristine (Zappone) O'Connor, AS'02, celebrated the birth of their son, Owen Michael, on April 16. The family lives in Highland, New York.

Gregg Osenkowski, BA'02, is an associate at Sverica International, a private equity investor in Boston. He is involved in operating portfolio companies, as well as sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investment transactions.

Josiah Pierce, L'02, is the vice consul of the U.S. embassy in Bogot?, Colombia.

Jonathan Stearns, BA'02, of Brookline, Massachusetts, has opened an office for the financial-services firm Edward Jones on Beacon Street in Brookline.

Patricia Anyaeji, UC'03, of Boston, and Blessing Okunbor celebrated the birth of their son, Bright Zuriel, on February 11, 2005, at Boston Medical Center. The family also has a daughter, Paloma Angel.

Kevin Cash, E'03, of Goleta, California, married Melissa Penn on September 9 in Albany, New York. He is working toward a doctorate in chemical engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Christina (Bertuccio) Onofry, AS'03, and Scott Onofry, BA'04, were married May 28 in Mineola, New York. They live in Maybrook.

Dina Buccieri, UC'04, is the special assistant to the mayor for media relations in Haverhill, Massachusetts, where she lives.

Kathreen Gifford, MS'04, and Joseph Gifford welcomed the birth of a son, Ian Joseph, on July 19 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston. Ian was premature, and stayed in the hospital for a week before Kathreen and Joseph could bring him home to Marlborough. Whitnee Hawthorne, BA'04, of New York City, is a marketing associate at HBO and the owner of Whitlynn's Wonders, which makes flavored butter.

Jamie Lynn Maglietta, AS'04, of New Providence, New Jersey, was the first runner-up in the New Jersey competition that leads to the Miss America pageant. She won the talent award by singing a selection from the Strauss operetta Die Fledermaus. She works at Fox News Channel, in New Jersey, and has worked at MSNBC and NBC, and as a print reporter in New Jersey.

Kristine (Pender) Venis, BA'04, and Rick Venis were married on June 17 at New Seabury Country Club, in Mashpee, Massachusetts. They honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii, and now live in Watertown.

LeRoy Watkins, BA'04, of Montclair, New Jersey, is the president and founder of MyBike, a company that sells bicycles to college students, working professionals, and others for $20. "I make my money by having companies advertise inside the bike frames," he writes. "Business is going exceptionally well and is poised for great things in the very near future." Briana Weiler, AS'04, of Somerville, Massachusetts, is a career adviser at Emmanuel College in Boston. She was the career resource coordinator at Emmanuel for the past two years. Weiler advises both students and alumni on internships and career development.

Simone Williams, MBA'04, of Atlanta, has been working at Golden Key International Honour Society since 2004. She was recently promoted to director of marketing at the nonprofit.

Mark Lewis, BA'05, of Hingham, Massachusetts, is training with Maureen McKinnon-Tucker, of Marblehead, as Team Eagle with the goal of competing in the first-ever two-person disabled sailing event in the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing. Nathan Larson, CS'06, of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, is the executive producer of A Work of Fiction, a film about a young writer plagued by doubt after getting an assignment to write a murder novel.
