New execs on campus

Northeastern has named a new vice president for development, Bill Bartolini, and a dean for the new School of Technological Entrepreneurship, Paul Zavracky.

Bartolini comes to Northeastern after an eleven-year career at Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio, where he rose through the ranks to become executive director of development.

Hoping to work closely with the colleges on fundraising, Bartolini says he was drawn to Northeastern because of its climb in the national rankings and extensive physical growth over the past decade.

Zavracky will oversee the interdisciplinary School of Technological Entrepreneurship's mission of helping students capitalize on tech backgrounds for business ventures. He has led a number of startups and taught electrical engineering at NU for seven years.
