President Joseph E. Aoun, more than 400 Northeastern alumni and co-op students, and members of the Massachusetts congressional delegation gathered on Capitol Hill on May 15 to recognize interim U.S. Senator Mo Cowan, L’94. Aoun and law school dean Jeremy Paul hosted the reception for Cowan, who was appointed in February by Gov. Deval Patrick to fill the seat vacated when John Kerry became Secretary of State.
Aoun and Massachusetts’ senior senator, Elizabeth Warren, both commended Cowan for his bipartisan approach in Washington. Cowan responded, “It’s an honor to represent the people of Massachusetts and it’s equally an honor to represent that fine institution on Huntington Avenue.”
