Magazine earns several national awards
Over the spring and summer, Northeastern University Alumni Magazine won a variety of national awards, includingfor the third year in a rowa grand gold for feature writing from the Mercury Excellence Awards. This year's nod went to "Steady On," the January 2005 feature on Darryl Williams, UC'01, written by senior writer Karen Feldscher.
The magazine was also among the four finalists named in two top categoriesbest whole publication and periodical of the yearof the Distinguished Achievement Awards, sponsored by the Association of Educational Publishers (EdPress).
Finally, it earned a bronze medal for best cover from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), honoring the Winter 2006 issue, which featured the photography of Jessica Scranton, AS'04.
