Campaign winds down

Thanks to the generosity of nearly 63,000 alumni and friends, Northeastern's most ambitious fundraising effort to date has entered its final stage.

Launched in 1998, the Leadership Campaign aimed to raise $200 million from alumni, parents, friends, corporations, and foundations, for priorities such as student scholarships, teaching and research, and co-op. As of July 31, the Campaign had raised more than $192 million.

Campaign funds have financed such improvements as the construction of a health sciences building and a nanotechnology research center, to the creation of more than two hundred student scholarships and a dozen faculty chairs and professorships.

"We are so grateful to everyone who has supported the Campaign," says Ronald Rossetti, BA'66, chair of the Leadership Campaign. "I encourage alumni who have not yet made a gift to do so now and help us cross the finish line."
