Magazine earns nods

Northeastern University Alumni Magazine has taken home four major awards this year.

The September 2004 feature "The Warden," written by senior writer Karen Feldscher, earned a "best article" grand gold medal from the Mercury Excellence Awards, an international professional communications competition—the second year in a row the magazine has won this award.

In addition, "The Warden" received a silver medal in the "best article" category from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

The May 2004 special issue, which focused on the music industry, earned a bronze medal in CASE's "best periodical special issue" category, and was named a finalist for "best one-theme issue" by the Association of Educational Publishers (EdPress). Both awards honored the entire issue's design as well as its editorial content.
