1930s

Joseph A. Schultz, E'30, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, notes, "I was delighted to see the picture of the banjo club of 1930 [Huskiana, September 1998]. I am seated third from the right, front row. We had great times in the club. Congratulations on a hundred years. N.U. gave me excellent mechanical engineering [skills] and lifelong learning and love of the job. Chaplin Tyler's reflections ["From One Centenarian to Another," September 1998] were beautiful. I am ninety-two. Thank you, N.U."

Elling C. Reich, E'34, of Falls Church, Virginia, is "still going strong at eighty-eight. Play tennis, bowl, sleep."

Morris L. Tobman, L'34, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, writes, "Sorry to inform you that my dear wife, Ada, passed away on September 7, 1998. We were married over sixty-four years."

Ahti W. Lans, E'35, of Mashpee, Massachusetts, sends an appeal to his classmates, "Please give N.U. a short blurb in the magazine. It's only sixty-four years since we graduated."

Robert W. Olsen, E'37, of Rotonda West, Florida, says, "How and where are all my classmates? Well and hiding, I presume."

Burritt F. Leighton, E'39, of South Easton, Massachusetts, had a "great time at the Fiftieth Golden Reunion. Sorry I'll be unable to attend the sixtieth this year."
