Peter Burns, CJ'80, of Barre, Vermont, is an account executive for Norwest/Wells Fargo Education Financial Services, covering all of New England colleges and universities. Edward S. Dlugosz, ME'80, of Crofton, Maryland, is chief of environmental compliance and safety auditing for the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration. Kathleen A. Hoar, BB'80, of Boca Raton, Florida, is the rehabilitation director at two acute care hospitals, in Boca Raton and Delray Beach.

Elizabeth Gaudet Nolan, N'80, of Lexington, Kentucky, was the 1997 Kentucky Emergency Nurse of the Year and received special board recognition from the Emergency Nurses Association. She is involved with pediatric injury prevention through the SAFEKIDS Coalition.

Chris Semonelli, E'80, is vice president of sales and marketing for Erez USA in Newport, Rhode Island. He formerly worked for Cooley Incorporated in Pawtucket and Exxon Company in Los Angeles. He and his wife, Trish, and five children live in Middletown, Rhode Island.

John Clark, CJ'81, was presented the Special Achievement Award from the U.S. Marshals Service for his humanitarian actions responding to a tornado in Nashville, Tennessee, in April 1998. Clark is the chief of in-service training at the Marshals Service Academy in Glynco, Georgia.

Marian (Gold) Considine, BB'81, of Rochester, New York, is married, has three children, and owns her own business. She says she'd like to hear from Michael Roche, BA'81.

John W. Pipp, BA'81, and Nancy Pipp, AS'85, relocated to Hilliard, Ohio, from Pennsylvania. John works for Kraft Foods, where he started as a co-op student. The Pipps and their three sons, Billy, Timothy, and Richard, are involved in school, sports, and scouts. Nancy and the boys wrote a children's book and are seeking a publisher.

Bill Ryan, CJ'81, has been with the Metro-Dade Police Department in Miami, Florida, for seventeen years. He is currently assigned to the homicide bureau. Thomas Baker, CJ'82, and his wife, Amy, of Manchester, Massachusetts, welcomed a son, Charles Edward, on October 22, 1998. He joins a brother, Matthew. Mary K. (Goddard) Brende, BA'82, and her husband, Eric, of Hermann, Missouri, recently welcomed a son, Evan Christian. Their older children are Hans and Anna Rose.

Thomas P. Carafa, CJ'82, of Fayetteville, New York, has started a new job as a staff attorney at a law office in Syracuse. He and his wife, Eva, have a daughter, Jillian.

Laurel L. MacKinnon, BB'82, works in real estate at Prudential Ursula M. Stephan in Sudbury, Massachusetts, where she lives with her husband and four children.

Jim Murphy, BA'82, MBA'88, has been named president and chief executive officer of Wellspring Resources in Jacksonville, Florida. Wellspring is a wholly owned, total benefits outsourcing subsidiary of State Street Global Advisors, where Murphy is a principal. He and his wife have three children.

David S. Saroff, BA'82, of Fall River, Massachusetts, earned a certified purchasing manager certificate from the National Association of Purchasing Managers, in 1998.

Jeff Engle, E'83, says that after working nearly sixteen years in software product development, marketing, and management in Boston, he has joined his wife's placement and recruiting company. Anne Levinson, L'83, has been appointed a judge in the Seattle (Washington) Municipal Court. She has served as chairwoman of the Washington State Utilities Commission and as deputy mayor of Seattle.

David D. Briggs, BA'85, is a major and an operations analyst for the Army. He and his family have moved to Seoul, Korea.

Simone M. Caron, MA'85, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is an associate professor of history at Wake Forest University. She and her husband, Christopher O'Neill, have a son, Quaid Camire, and a daughter, Sydney Alden.

Caroline A. Costello, N'85, is a clinical coordinator on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Children's Hospital in Boston. She and her husband, Rob, live in Needham, Massachusetts, with their daughter, Brianna.

Stephen A. DiTullio, AS'85, his wife, Cari, and their three children, Alex, Matthew, and Elizabeth, live in Madison, Wisconsin. DiTullio graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1992 and recently became a partner at the Madison law firm DeWitt Ross & Stevens, practicing primarily in employment and labor law. Cynthia L. Sawyer, AS'85, reports on her recent adventures. "Backpacked through Europe, worked for five years as personal assistant to Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and then went to work as a production assistant for jazz musician Pat Metheny. Later, I lived in Manhattan, working as an office manager for Right Track Recording Studios. Finally, after being away from 'home' for almost twenty years, I decided that the quality of life was much more important than the quantity of life, so I packed it up and moved back to Maine. I'm now working with a Portland-based entrepreneur to start a holding company. Life is good."

Susan (Motyka) Anderson, BA'86, married Jesse Anderson in May 1998. They live in Worcester, Massachusetts. Since earning a master's degree from Simmons College in 1989, Anderson has worked at the American Antiquarian Society. She started as a cataloger and became assistant curator of manuscripts in 1995. Christine Lestha, N'86, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, has accepted a new position as a nurse practitioner in occupational health at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Jill (Gottlieb) Loeb, N'86, and her husband, Bob, live in Briarcliff Manor, New York, with their children, Benjamin and Elyse. Loeb is the pain management specialist and quality assurance coordinator at Brandywine Nursing Home. She has written articles on long-term care and pain management, and is a member of Janssen Pharmaceutical's speakers' bureau, lecturing on pain management.

Deborah Brown Regan, N'86, writes, "We're in the process of building a new home in Cumberland, Maine, where I'll be a stay-at-home mom with my four children, Patrick, Conner, Camden, and Melanie."

Winslow L. Sargeant, E'86, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, has cofounded an integrated chip design company in Allentown. In addition to his N.U. degree, he's earned a master's in electrical engineering from Iowa State University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the University of Wisconsin­Madison. Kristine Schaedlich Kass, N'87, and her husband, Jim, of Kingston, Massachusetts, welcomed a son, Karl Daniel, on April 14, 1998. She is a pediatric nurse in Plymouth.

Betsy McCann, BA'87, and her husband, Mitch, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, have two children, Derek Andrew and Kristy Morgan, and were expecting a third child this month. Betsy and Mitch met in London while she was traveling and working in England and Spain for a year after graduation. She left Fidelity Investments in Boston in April 1997 after seven years as a background investigator supervisor. The McCanns opened a nightclub, Millennium, in Manchester, New Hampshire, in February. Kevin Sheehan, E'87, married Kristen Pascocello of Pearl River, New York, on December 12, 1998. They live in Shelton, Connecticut, where Kevin is a marketing product manager with General Electric.

Tricia (Cadena) Converse, AS'88, lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Jonathan, and their son, Parker. She recently had an essay published in Natural Health magazine. She says she gets to see N.U. pals Laurie (Vellucci) Smith and Jeannie Melley when she and her family travel back east each summer. John Day, E'88, cofounded Sterling Network Group in Quincy, Massachusetts, in July 1998. "We started Sterling because we saw a big hole in the marketplace for industrial strength network implementation," he says. Charlene S. Devens, BA'88, received a master's degree in health-care administration from Framingham State College and is now accounting manager at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, Massachusetts. She and her husband, John, live in Millis.

James G. Diezemann, BA'88, has a new daughter, Anna, born last June; a new job, manager of sales planning and development at Benckiser USA in Greenwich, Connecticut; and a new house, in Brookfield. He and his wife, Amy, met when he was on co-op at Ocean Spray Cranberries in 1987. Their first daughter, Martha, was born in 1996.

Lynn (Sartanowicz) Manning, BB'88, is a kindergarten teacher at the University of Rhode Island Child Development Center. She earned a master's degree from Tufts University in 1990. Her husband,

Walter Manning Jr., BA'88, is in his last year of law school at Roger Williams University and was scheduled to sit for the bar exam in February.

David E. Marcus, BA'88, of Long Valley, New Jersey, reports the birth of his third child, Justin Ryan, on September 29, 1998. As a senior vice president at Franklin Mutual, Marcus oversees European investments and manages in excess of $8 billion in securities.

Annemarie (Cerullo) McFeeley, AS'88, and her husband, John, live in Malden, Massachusetts, with their three children, Brendan, Brittany, and Corey.

Mark S. Pelletier, BA'88, MBA'94, of North Andover, Massachusetts, received chartered financial analyst designation in September 1998. He is a vice president at Fleet Corporate Finance in Boston.

Gregory L. Piccininno, BA'88, is a vice president at Merrill Lynch in São Paolo, Brazil.

Paul Thornton, E'88, and his wife, Susan, welcomed a daughter, Amanda, on January 6. She joins brothers Brian and David. Thornton and his family moved from San Diego to Annapolis, Maryland, in July 1998. He works for the IIT Research Institute. Thomas M. Bentley, CS'89, of North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, works in the mobile communications group at Lotus Development. "We develop software used to access Notes mail, calendar, and address book entries with wireless hand-held devices, including cellular phones," he says.

Maryann (Roche) Crow, E'89, married Timothy Sean Crow of Wichita, Kansas, on December 5, 1998. "I had been living in Roanoke, Virginia, since 1993 and working for a division of General Electric that frequently changed its name-a sure sign of the future (to me)," she writes. "I moved to Wichita in October 1997 to take a job with Symbios Logic, a leading manufacturer of storage systems, host adapters, and IC chips. Patricia J. Hill, L'89, of Mansfield, Massachusetts, has been elected a partner in the litigation area of the Boston law firm Bingham Dana. She represents employers in litigation matters before federal and state courts and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

Christopher M. Klass, AS'89, and Kristen Isacsen Klass, CJ'89, of Jersey City, New Jersey, welcomed their second child, Atticus Downey, last spring. Ann N. Ray, BA'89, of Bristol, Connecticut, is chief executive officer of her own insurance agency. She reports she's completing work toward an MBA and hopes to enroll in law school.

Dianne (Daproza) Spillman, AS'89, and her husband, Brian, of Brookerville, Maryland, welcomed a daughter, Samantha Brynne, on December 9, 1998.
