ARTIFACTS

IMAGES BY THE ART FACULTY

Sam Bishop, an associate professor of art, will soon retire from Northeastern after thirty-two years of teaching. During most of that period he made documentary films. But recently, with the explosion in computer graphics tools, he has turned to digital imagery. This work, titled "Figure in a Window," is a completely digital image that refers to religious iconography. "Digital imagery is fascinating," Bishop says. "It's an exciting time in art." He studied at the Universities of New Hampshire and Iowa.
