1940s

Harvey S. Miller
, E'41, of Newton Centre, Massachusetts, recently made a donation, in the name of the class of 1941, to help purchase new sails for the USS Constitution, thereby qualifying all members of the class as honorary crew members of "Old Ironsides."

Jacob Wiren, E'48, ME'53, of Westwood, Massachusetts, says he would have been a member of the class of 1942 had he not served in the Navy during World War II. Like many veterans, he returned to college on the G.I. Bill. Wiren and his wife, Marge, welcomed their third great-grandchild, Erin Maree, on April 30, in West Australia.
