Barry M. Flax, BA'62, of Vienna, Virginia, is a telecommunications
specialist for Bell Atlantic in Roslyn, Virginia. His wife, Florence Polinsky
Flax, worked in the Northeastern bursar's office from 1956 until 1963.
A specialist in infrared photography, she recently donated twenty-seven
of her works to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in
Washington, D.C.
Myron D. Fottler, BA'62, coauthored Strategic Leadership for
Medical Groups: Navigating Your Strategic Web (JosseyBass, 1998) and
was elected a fellow of the Southern Management Association. He is a professor
and director of the Ph.D. program in administrationhealth services
at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
David A. Dibbell, E'64, retired in September from Energizer after
thirty-two years in technical and managerial positions in quality assurance
and production management. He and his wife, Sandy, live in Avon Lake, Ohio.
William H. York, E'64, of Naples, Florida, is chief executive
officer of Hurricane Evaluation and Loss Prevention. He served two years
in the Army Corps of Engineers, including a one-year stint in Vietnam,
and worked for E. I. DuPont for twenty-two years in various assignments
in engineering, sales, management, construction, and facilities management.
York and his wife, Bess Cunningham, have three children and one grandchild.

Robert Matusik, LC'66, LC'72, spent four weeks during the summer
studying Polish language and culture at Jagiellonian University in Krakow,
Poland. "This year, there was a class on Polish films that particularly
interested me," he says.
Victor G. Reid, LA'66, of Boston, writes that he is "extensively
involved with the antideath penalty movement."
David A. Mikelson, E'67, ME'75, received an Award of Merit from
the American Society for Testing Materials, where he was also named a fellow.
He has worked at the Army Soldier Systems Command in Natick, Massachusetts,
for thirty years, the past eighteen in research, development, and acquisition
of tactical rigid-wall military shelters.
Lawrence Dietz, BA'68, is principal analyst of information security
at Current Analysis in Sterling, Virginia. Dietz, who has an MBA from Babson
College and a law degree from Suffolk University, focuses on market research,
covering products, services, and markets associated with information security.
Dietz was formerly vice president at Zona Research, where he was responsible
for research and analysis of information security, electronic commerce,
legal issues, and technology. He served twenty-three years in the military
and received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal this year. In March,
he returned from Bosnia, where he served as deputy commander of the NATO
Information Campaign.
Edward J. Hollos, E'68, of Glen Allen, Virginia, is a diplomate
of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
Joan E. Barron Secher, LA'68, notes that her daughters, Marli,
Shana, and Larah, participated in the Leukemia Society of America Marathon
in Dublin, Ireland, in October.
