Maureen A. Parolin
, CJ'80, of South Boston is director of special events for the Boston Police Department, where she has worked for eighteen years. She was married in February.

William Hewitt, PAH'81, of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, won the 1997 Bowl of Hygeia Award from the Maine Pharmacy Association (MPA) for outstanding community service by a pharmacist. Hewitt is a district manager for Brooks Pharmacy. He has been president, first vice president, and second vice president for MPA and is a member of the New Hampshire Pharmacists Association. He coaches in the Cape Elizabeth Youth Soccer League and teaches Sunday school at the Greek Orthodox Church in Bangor. He and his wife, Joni, have four children, Rose, Chase, and twins Sophie and Bryce.

Brian J. Louf, CJ'81, a major in the Marines, recently participated in the combined arms exercise with the 25th Marines, 4th Marine Division, Worcester, Massachusetts.

Joan Mathews Westgor, N'81, of San Antonio, Texas, works in utilization review and discharge planning at Foundation Health Services in San Antonio.

Nicholas DelTorto, BA'82, is president of Amerihome Mortgage of Milwaukee and Chicago. DelTorto, who grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, is a former vice president of Fleet Mortgage, which closed its retail branches in the Midwest.

S. Ross Foster, AS'82, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, says he'd like to say hello to former classmates and friends at N.U. "Have recently moved into a new home," he writes.

Stephen J. Maffeo, BA'82, of Medway, Massachusetts, is vice president of finance at a local communications company. He has been married for seven years and has two children.

Robert F. Moran, BA'82, of Quincy, Massachusetts, is a financial officer of a bank. He is married and has three daughters. Carol J. Drobnis-Dickerman, BA'83, married Harold Dickerman in May 1993. They live in Sharon, Massachusetts.

Mandy Familiar, ME'83, MBA'88, is vice president of engineering for E-Travel of Concord, Massachusetts. The company develops real-time, Web-based, and client-server desktop reservations and management software.

Kathryn Dwyer Fitzgerald, N'83, married Peter Fitzgerald in July. They live in Palo Alto, California. She has been at the University of California, San Francisco for ten years in a combined medical and surgical cardiac intensive care unit. She reports that she's expecting her first child in December.

Stephen M. McCabe, BA'83, is the regional marketing manager for Stockholm-based Assa Abloy AB. "I have just relocated to Singapore after one year in Bangkok, Thailand," he writes. "Living, working, and traveling in Asia has been a great learning experience." He adds that he and his wife, Koko, plan to start a family when they're settled in Hong Kong.

William J. Moll Jr., BA'83, of Delmar, New York, is a train dispatcher for Conrail in its Selkirk (Albany), New York, office. "My wife, Beth, is a violist with various orchestras in the area and just returned from a two-week orchestra tour in Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic," he writes.

Paul J. Reulbach, CJ'83, of Marblehead, Massachusetts, is advertising director of Boston Magazine. He was formerly associate publisher and advertising director of Lawyers Weekly publications and director of sales and marketing at Business Review.

Erin E. Warner, N'83, of Nahant, Massachusetts, is director of quality improvement at REW Home Health Care in Winthrop.

Kenneth P. Cotich, E'84, of Columbia, Maryland, is owner and director of operations at Bakery Resources Group in Baltimore.

Heather R. Hawkins, MEd'84, of Roslindale, Massachusetts, has been director of human resources at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston since April 1996. Prior to that, she worked more than fifteen years at Northeastern, most recently as employment supervisor in human resources management. "A great training ground," she says.

Shelley Nachum, BA'84, is the owner of Career Development Services in Davie, Florida. She has lived in Fort Lauderdale for thirteen years.

Jill L. Nelson, AS'84, of Coral Gables, Florida, writes, "I just completed my second year at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. I'll be a junior next year (again)."

Charles H. Sommerville, E'84, is a vice president of international project finance at Sumitomo Bank in New York City. He's also an officer in the Navy reserves. Sommerville lives in the village of Greystone in Westchester County.

Stephen Byrne and Ellen Keithline Byrne, both BA'85, live in Wilton, Connecticut, with their three children, Emily, William, and Jack. Steve is a vice president in fixed income sales at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York City.

Thomas A. Darisse, N'85, is a nurse methods analyst in the Army, where he serves as the project nurse and transition manager for the 121st General Hospital renovation program in Seoul, South Korea. Darisse holds the rank of major.

Eric B. Eby, E'85, of Amesbury, Massachusetts, is a senior project engineer with Sam Park Associates, which soon will merge with Rizzo Associates.

Pamela A. Galeota, BHD'85, of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, has been named a vice president at R.M. Bradley, a full-service real estate firm in Boston. She formerly was a regional manager for the company's Fleet Financial Group portfolio.

Shimon Magrizo, AS'85, has been a patent examiner in photographic chemistry at the European Patent Office in The Hague, Netherlands, since 1987. He also travels the world for Scouting magazine.

Dennis Tyner, E'85, ME'86, PHD'92, an assistant professor of electrical engineering at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, was named the national outstanding chapter adviser for Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. He was cited for the time, energy, and money he has devoted to Norwich engineering students. Tyner is the author of the Electric Circuit Analysis Solutions Manual and the Basic Electric Circuit Analysis Manual. He serves as Norwich's assistant softball coach, volunteers as a speaker at high schools, and is a disc jockey at a local radio station. He is the father of eight children.

Desiree Faith Miller Leaston, AS'86, writes, "I have had some exciting things happen during this past year. On May 13, I married Michael Leaston in Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had a wonderful wedding and honeymoon. In August, I was accepted into the parttime MBA program at Northeastern. I look forward to beginning in the spring of 1998." She is a senior training specialist at Fidelity Investments in Boston.

Margery A. Rossi, AS'86, of Cortlandt Manor, New York, was ordained an interfaith minister for the New Seminary in February 1996. She is director of Project Hope, a service agency for people living with AIDS, in Westchester County, New York.

Everett S. Pratt, E'88, a lieutenant commander in the Navy, has participated in several community relations projects overseas while assigned to the guided missile cruiser USS Hue City, which is currently on a six-month deployment in the Mediterranean and Arabian Sea.
