Stephen A. Chase, BA'60, of Turnersville, New Jersey, celebrated the
marriage of his son in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Chase is a systems
consultant with Cigna Corporation in Philadelphia. He says he welcomes
contact from classmates.
Corrin J. McGrath, UC'60, is the city manager of Kenedy,
Texas.
Stephanie Stone Wilkinson, BB'61, of Spring, Texas,
is director of an acute care hospital and is "still enjoying physical
therapy."
Myron D. Fottler, BA'62, of Birmingham, Alabama, won
the 1997 Edgar C. Hayhow Award from the American College of Health Care
Executives. The award was presented for an article published in Hospital
and Health Services Administration.
Robert F. Giordano, E'62, retired in June as director
of CECOM Research, Development, and Engineering, ending a thirty-five-year
career in federal service, mostly as a civilian employee of the Army. Giordano
managed and directed programs totaling $1.2 billion and more than 4,500
employees. He won a number of awards during his career, including the 1996
Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service, the Army's highest honorary
award for civilian employees.
Diane K. Lerner, BB'62, of Santa Monica, California,
says she's primarily working with the McConnell Institute. She has two
grandsons, one in Venice, California, and the other in Chicago.
Jim Lombardo, E'62, of Philadelphia, is a project
manager at the Philadelphia Housing Authority's Department of Modernization.
Richard P. Bloom, LA'63, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,
has written and published a book on financial education, It's in Your Interest-How
to Build Wealth, Increase Income and Cash Flow, and Reduce Taxes.
William J. Glover Jr., E'63, ME'70, of Easton, Massachusetts,
is a fellow of the American Consulting Engineers Council. He also serves
as a senior vice president and member of the board of directors of Fay,
Spofford & Thorndike in Burlington.
Dick Madden, LA'63, is in his thirtieth year as a
counselor in the Waltham, Massachusetts, public school system. He earned
master's and doctoral degrees from Boston University and a certificate
of advanced study from the University of Vermont.
P. K. "Pete" Samsury, E'63, ME'65, is assistant
director of the Texas A&M University Center for Construction Education.
Samsury retired from Shell Oil earlier this year after thirty-one years
with the company.
Bob Washburn, E'63, of Westborough, Massachusetts,
is a principal of the Washburn Group, a three-year-old sales and channels
consulting company. He recently delivered a sales and channels seminar
to a Northeastern high-tech MBA second-year class.
Arthur P. Poole, LA'65, of Coos Bay, Oregon, is a
professor of horticulture at Oregon State University. He is the area extension
agent for commercial horticulture and serves as staff chair for the Coos
County Extension Office in Coquille.
Barry Koslow, LA'66, of Lynnfield, Massachusetts,
a principal with Morrill, Koslow & Associates in Danvers, also serves
as a member of the board of directors of New England Sinai Hospital and
Rehabilitation Center. He is a board member and past chairman of the Massachusetts
Special Olympics and a past member of the Lynnfield School Committee.
Robert E. Chase, E'67, ME'68, of Needham, Massachusetts,
was presented the 1997 Historic Preservation Award from the Watertown Historic
Commission. Chase is the base realignment and closure environmental coordinator
for the Army Research Laboratory. He oversees all activities to prepare
the base for sale or transfer to a private entity.
Rose Merzon Feinberg, Ed'67, of Waltham, Massachusetts,
is principal of the Mary Lu Burbank School in Belmont. She is a past president
of the Massachusetts affiliate of the Northeast Coalition of Educational
Leaders and a member of Northeastern's class of 1967 thirtieth reunion
committee.
Raymond H. Kendall, BA'67, of Gainesville, Texas,
is city manager of Padre Island, "the spring break capital of Texas."
Stephen H. Clinch, E'68, is president of Merriman/PCC
Specialty Products of Hingham, Massachusetts.
Brian Sullivan, LA'68, of Burlington, Massachusetts,
received an award for his efforts as a special agent in the Federal Aviation
Administration's New England regional security division. He was recognized
for coordinating with the FBI, Klanwatch, and the Southern Poverty Law
Center in researching, documenting, and informing concerned FAA parties
about the existence and activities of extremist militia and hate groups
in New England.
Victor H. Prushan, MBA'69, of Thousand Oaks, California,
is the author of No-Nonsense Marketing: 101 Practical Ways to Win and Keep
Customers, published by John Wiley & Sons of New York. Prushan is a
principal of VHP Associates, a management consulting firm specializing
in marketing and sales management for industrial and technology-based companies.
