Henry F. Dunn Jr.
, LA'52, of Long Beach, California, retired from teaching in 1989 "after thirty-four years of enjoyment in the classroom." He underwent triple-bypass surgery in September and is "feeling great with a new plumbing system."

Charles E. MacNeill, L'52, of Crystal River, Florida, and Warner, New Hampshire, presented his twenty-ninth paper, "Classical Environmental Management of a Small New Hampshire Pond," at the 1996 New England Lakes Conference, held at the university's Warren Conference Center in Ashland. "[It was] great to be back at Northeastern, one way or another, after forty-four years," MacNeill writes. "The Warren Conference Center is a great location for conferences, symposia, or meetings." He invites classmates to visit him whenever they are in the vicinity of Crystal River or Warner, and says he expects to see them all at the fiftieth reunion in 2002.

Gerald Stepner, P'52, of West Peabody, Massachusetts, has been honored by the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association as its 1996 recipient of Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories' Bowl of Hygeia Award for outstanding community service by a pharmacist. Stepner, who is retired from Richmond Pharmacy in Lynn, worked eighteen years with the Massachusetts Tax-Aid Program, where he developed a training course and competency test for volunteer tax counselors. He was also a monitor with the statewide Massachusetts Money Management Program, which works to prevent financial exploitation of senior citizens. Stepner is a past president and current secretary-treasurer and coordinator of the pharmacy continuing education programs of the North Shore Pharmaceutical Association (formerly the Greater Lynn Druggists' Association). He was recently installed as copresident of the Brotherhood of Temple Beth Shalom for a third term.

Robert R. Charpentier, LC'56, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, retired in March 1991 after fifty years of work. He reports that his wife died in June 1992. Charpentier says he's still involved in youth activities.

C. Thomas Burke, B'57, of Glen Allen, Virginia, is the Fourth Circuit officer of the Federal Bar Association and president of the association's Richmond, Virginia, chapter.

Fred Holtzman, BA'57, of Westport, Connecticut, is the former chief executive officer of DH Litter. He sold the major part of his interest in the company, but remains on its board of directors.

Gerald (Jerry) Mirliss, E'57, has retired from the Rocketdyne division of Rockwell International, where he was an engineering specialist. He spent thirty-two of his thirty-nine working years for Rocketdyne. Mirliss and his wife, Linda, have been married for forty years and live in the San Fernando Valley in California. Their children, Jeff and Gail, also live in California.

Albert J. Oliva, BA'57, of Clifton, Virginia, retired from Wang Laboratories after more than eighteen years and now works part-time as a consultant. "After almost forty years between the Army and private industry, it is great to do all the things you always wanted to do but didn't have the time to do," he says.

Gerald L. Bell, BA'58, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, writes, "Nearly forty years have passed [since graduation]. Now Helen and I have five grandchildren, all here in Fort Lauderdale. Our children are general contractors, building residential developments."
