She was formerly executive assistant to the chief of staff in the Rhode Island governor's office, where she coordinated and managed inaugural celebrations, special events, the governor's beautification program, and other projects. Debra Clairmont-Talaska, BA'82, of Houston, Texas, received a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1989. She married Robert Talaska that same year. They now have two sons, Travis and Dylan.

Brian S. Withers, MBA'86, owns BSW ProRep, an athlete representation business that specializes in football. The business is located in Matthews, North Carolina, south of Charlotte. Withers received a law degree in 1994 from New England School of Law. Among other services, his company negotiates player contracts, offers financial planning and investment counseling, prepares tax returns and advises on tax issues, and develops personal marketing plans.

Ellen Jane Yanofsky, AS'86, UC'93, was married in September to Michael John Keough of Natick, Massachusetts. She works in the human resources division of Southboro Medical Group and owns a Mary Kay business. Wayne C. Currie, CJ'88, and Cynthia F. (Andrews) Currie, N'88, of Rutland, Massachusetts, report changes in their lives. Wayne has left the position of program coordinator with the parks and recreation department in Natick, Massachusetts, to become the first director of athletics and intramurals at Bradford College in Bradford, Massachusetts. He continues to serve as district coordinator for the national Youth Sports Alliance. Cynthia received a master's degree in midwifery from the University of Rhode Island and has passed the national boards to become a certified nurse midwife. She works at the Fallon Clinic in Worcester.

He specializes in lighting design and consulting engineering for residential, commercial, and industrial lighting projects. Lorna Tomasetti Kogon, N'88, of Atlanta, Georgia, received a master's degree in nursing, specializing in child health, in December 1995 from Emory University in Atlanta.

Anthony S. Kourepenis, E'88, ME'92, is working toward a master's degree in engineering management at Tufts University. He is employed by Draper Laboratory and lives in Acton, Massachusetts, with his wife, Elaina, and children, Steven and Gigi.

Everett S. Pratt, E'88, served aboard the ship USS Hue City during BALTOPS 96, the largest maritime exercise in the Baltic Sea. Fourteen nations, including Russia, Germany, Poland, and Denmark, took part in the operation. Pratt is a lieutenant in the Navy.

Lynn Sartanowicz, BB'88, and Walter Manning, BA'88, of Warwick, Rhode Island, celebrated the birth of their third son, Collin, in February 1996. Sartanowicz received a master's degree from Tufts University and Manning earned an MBA from Bryant College. They live in Warwick, Rhode Island, and say hello to their teammates from the cross-country and track teams.

Al Weggeman, E'88, accepted a position as director of strategic marketing for Norton Company's industrial abrasives business. He and his family have moved to Albany, New York.

Holly Wickstrom, BA'88, and Rob Cowie, BB'91, were married in June 1996 in Chatham, Massachusetts. They met in Los Angeles, where Wickstrom has been working since 1989 and where Cowie is playing for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League. Though they have a number of mutual friends, they had never met while at Northeastern.

Christine Kilfoil Bell, BA'89, is a financial account executive for Attachmate Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio. She and her husband, James, have two children, Caroline and Catherine.

Carolyn (Coco) Cerce, BA'89, of Norton, Massachusetts, recently started Coco Communications, a marketing communications agency. The company offers clients a blend of services, including strategy, writing, design, and public relations for the health-care, computer, and finance industries.

Jonathan E. Clifford, E'89, ME'93, of Randolph, Massachusetts, received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1995. He is a senior consultant with Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group.

Brian J. Donovan, E'89, has transferred from the Gaithersburg, Maryland, office of Woodward-Clyde Federal Services, a worldwide environmental engineering firm, to open an office in Lexington, Massachusetts.

Robert E. McCarthy, AS'89, served six months in the western Pacific Ocean with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit as part of the USS Tarawa amphibious-ready group. He is a captain in the Marines.
