Eugene F. Garvey, BA'60, of Wakefield, Rhode Island, reports he sold his insurance agency and is a state representative in the Rhode Island General Assembly.
Joseph J. McInerney, E'60, of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, is associate professor of medicine at Penn State Medical School in Hershey. He says he'll retire in about a year from full-time work but will continue teaching part-time with emeritus status.
Frederick R. Strobel, BA'60, MBA'62, of Sarasota, Florida, is the Selby professor of economics at the New College of the University of South Florida. He was a visiting scholar at Oxford University in England this past summer.
Dana Michaels Szczepkowska, LA'60, of Ponce, Puerto Rico, writes, "Proud to say my son, Naso Cathanasios, is at N.U. for his master's." Her oldest son, Basil, and his wife, Jennifer, were expecting their first child and Szczepkowska's first grandchild in June.
Leroy C. Underwood, BA'61, retired as president and chief executive officer of Precision Contract Manufacturing. "New vocation, travel, golf, and sport flying," he says. "Home base, Springfield, Vermont."
Robert W. Zetterberg, BA'61, of Augusta, Georgia, is a commissioner in the Augusta/Richmond County Consolidated Government.
Lawrence Applebaum, E'62, notes he and his wife, Monica, still live near Heidelberg, Germany, and are "enjoying the wonderful European lifestyle."
George F. Mason, BA'63, of New Baden, Illinois, retired from government service in January. "Thirty-one years of total federal service," he comments.
Harvey Minsky, E'63, retired in January after thirty years with the Army Corps of Engineers. He started his career with the New England division in Waltham, Massachusetts, and retired as chief of construction for the Pacific Ocean division in Honolulu, Hawaii. He notes that, in addition to a life of leisure, he's started his own contract administration consulting service, specializing in mediation, arbitration, and dispute resolution. Minsky and his wife, Diane, live in Kailua, Hawaii.
George E. Ball, UC'64, retired as head of the tax department in the Trust Services Group from Citizens Bank in Providence, Rhode Island, and is living in Naples, Florida.
Susan McKinley Carpenter, BB'64, says she keeps in close touch with Gail Strathdee Lewis and Barb Kehew, both BB'64. Henry R. Datelle, LA'64, of Atlanta, Georgia, was very much involved in preparation and work at the Summer Olympics.
Doug Hull, Ed'64, has become a personal financial specialist, noting it's the first specialty of experienced certified public accountants. He practices in Montpelier, Vermont, where he lives, and invites any N.U. graduate to stop by for a visit. His two Korean-born children are in college or starting careers.
Rosanne Sidman-Karp, N'64, of Quincy, Massachusetts, is a case manager at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Len Remaly, E'65, of Ballwin, Missouri, has established a joint resins venture in China as part of his responsibilities as international manager of the specialty resins group of Monsanto.
John M. Rolli, BA'65, has been elected fire chief of the volunteer department in Sugar Loaf Key, Florida, where he lives. His recent visitors included Sally (Epple) Cunningham, BA'65, and her husband, Mike, BA'64. He stays in touch with classmates Dean Webb of Marco Island and Curt Perry, and by telephone with Marjorie (Amirian) Moran, LA'65, of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Joanne (Ala) Rauer, LA'65, at the University of Michigan.
Ann M. Butler, LA'66, of Brookline, Massachusetts, notes that Denise (Duffy) Hirschmann, LA'64, and her husband, Peter, visited Boston in the spring from their home in Leeds, England.
Daniel G. Conery, LC'66, of Houston, Texas, says he's "flying single-engine aircraft, snow skiing out West, and having a good life, thanks to N.U."
John Marshall, LA'66, MA'69, has moved his appraisal firm from Boston to Roswell, Georgia, where he now lives with his six children. His son, Benjamin, attends Georgetown University, and his daughter, Erika, teaches elementary school. He says the other four children "are up and coming" in fifth through twelfth grade. His company specializes in commercial appraisals within the greater Atlanta area.
Donna Grady DeFlorio, Ed'67, started WorkGroup Systems in 1994 to design and develop Lotus Notes applications. "My husband, Al, retired from IBM and joined Addison Wesley Longman as manager, market development. We live on the fifteenth fairway of the Silvermine Golf Course in Wilton, Connecticut, and enjoy golfing in our backyard," she says. "We see Mark and Leslie Walsh Sweeney, LA'66, of Swampscott, and Kathy McKinnon Nicholson, BA'66, of Lincoln during trips to Boston. Saw Virginia Rizzo Cueto, BA'66, of Atlanta during her business trips to Connecticut and at the Olympics."

Jeffrey C. Paul, BA'67, of Waldorf, Maryland, was a military pilot for twenty years and is now head of aviation for Sun Oil.
David J. Porter, LA'67, of Hingham, Massachusetts, is assistant regional manager for the Massachusetts Health Enrollment Center in Taunton. The center is a unit of the Massachusetts Division of Medical Assistance.
Jean B. Shaffer, MA'67, of Brooklyn, New York, writes, "I spent 1966-67 in the graduate school and received a master's degree in mathematics in June 1967. I believe it was the best year of my life, and Korey Grace reminded me of that."
Kenneth R. Brown, E'68, of Bryantville, Massachusetts, is media director at Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston. He teaches computer science at Silver Lake and Massasoit Community College.
Kathryn E. Chamberlain, LA'68, of Gloucester, Massachusetts, has taken early retirement after twenty-eight years at North Shore Medical Center. "After a short hiatus, will pursue a second career," she says.
Joan B. Secher, LA'68, of Mansfield, Massachusetts, is a broker with DeWolfe New England Real Estate in North Attleboro. She has four children, ages ten to twenty-six.
Stephen P. Sussman, BA'68, has moved to Marietta, Georgia, and is vice president of operations of the manufacturing facility for Nantucket Industries. He was chief financial officer and vice president of finance for seven years at the corporate headquarters in New York City.
Don Tabasco, UC'68, received an MBA from Averett College in Danville, Virginia, in April.
John C. Talanian, BA'68, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is managing director of Putnam Investments in Boston. He's responsible for international product and business development.
Barry S. Wolfson, BA'68, recently marked his thirtieth year at Aetna Life Insurance Company, where he started as a co-op student in 1965. "I want to say hello to all my former Phi Sigma Kappa brothers," he says. "Jeanne and I and my two children still live in West Hartford, Connecticut."
Dave Katseff, E'69, is the president of Mastercast, a manufacturer of emblematic jewelry and acrylic products. The company moved from Providence, Rhode Island, to new facilities in Pawtucket with the help of Citizens Trust Company and Pawtucket's local development corporation.
John R. Messier, UC'69, of Westborough, Massachusetts, is president of GTE Government Systems in Needham. He was formerly vice president and general manager of GTE's Information Systems Division, vice president and general manager of the Federal Systems Division, and general manager of the Strategic Systems Division during his thirty-three-year career with the company. Messier and his wife, Anne, have five grown children.
Ira H. Schneider, E'69, of Austin, Texas, is coauthor of the book OS/2 Warp Uncensored. He is an advisory programmer for IBM in Austin.
