Alumni VP sought Northeastern has created a new vice presidency for alumni relations and is currently seeking candidates who can "set the vision" for the university's relationship with its more than 160,000 graduates.
The position elevates the profile of the top alumni relations post, which was previously an executive directorship, and adds a sixteenth vice president to Northeastern's leadership team.
This higher profile "signifies the importance that the university attaches to our alumni constituency," says Robert Cunningham, senior vice president for institutional advancement. "The role of alumni relations is critical to the overall mission and progress of Northeastern, particularly at this dynamic time in our history."
The $1.2 million alumni relations operation works to strengthen ties with Northeastern graduates through events, programs, and communications efforts. The vice president will also be the university's link to the Alumni Association.
