Northeastern has unveiled a new glossy research magazine, Synthesis, aimed at showcasing the university's research efforts to leaders at other higher education institutions across the country.

Provost Ahmed Abdelal calls the magazine "easy to read" and "a major step in enhancing our academic reputation to academic leadership."

The fall 2004 issue of the semiannual publication focused on Northeastern's engineering, science, and biotechnology efforts. The spring edition will feature interdisciplinary social sciences.
