Northeastern fetes its co-op partners

Northeastern students, staff, and faculty turned out in style last fall to thank the organizations that participate in the university's co-op program.

At the third annual Northeastern Co-op Partners Dinner, held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in late October, awards were given to four partner companies: The Boston Globe, Greater Boston Legal Services, Microsoft, and the TuftsNew England Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children.

Co-op students working at those companies presented the awards.

All the presenters used exuberant words to describe the life-changing advantages of working alongside pros like the Boston Globe's Spotlight Team editor Walter Robinson, LA'74, and Robert Sable, executive director of Greater Boston Legal Services.

As she offered her tribute to Greater Boston Legal Services, for instance, law student Rachel Munoz spoke of having the chance to learn how team lawyering works, "and how this type of lawyering effectively addresses societal differences in the lives of our clients."
