1950s

William Tedoldi, BA’52, of Needham, Massachusetts, played host to members of the Tuscan American Association (TAA) of Florence, Italy, during the group’s four-city tour of the United States in October 2003. When Tedoldi, a member of the Historical and Culture Commissions of the Massachusetts Sons of Italy, toured Italy two years ago, he was introduced to TAA officials by the political and economic specialist at the U.S. consulate in Florence, in the hopes of establishing a cultural exchange between Boston and Tuscany. As a result, Tedoldi helped arrange the TAA stop in Boston. Members of the group visited the State House and Faneuil Hall, walked the Freedom Trail, enjoyed a Duck Tour of the Charles River, and had dinner in the North End.
