1940s

Julius Kendall, E’41, of Framingham, Massachusetts, is the vice president of Entwistle Company, whose corporate headquarters are in Hudson. His e-mail address is fpszipper@comcast.net. M. Edmund Ellion, E’44, of Santa Ynez, California, writes, “After spending three years during World War II in the Navy as a gunnery officer on a heavy cruiser, I got a master’s degree from Harvard and a doctorate from the California Institute of Technology. I retired as director of technology at General Motors Hughes Electronics in 1988 and became president of Scientific Industries in California, where I am still chairman and CEO. This year, I received my thirty-fourth patent on my eighty-first birthday. This patent is for a dental device currently being sold in England and Germany, with sales in the United States to begin next year. My other thirty-three patents are all in production. They range from satellite batteries and rockets to medical devices.”
