Edmund Ellion, E’44, of Santa Ynez, California, writes, “After spending three years during World War II in the Navy as a gunnery officer on a heavy cruiser, I got a master’s degree from Harvard and a doctorate from the California Institute of Technology. I retired as director of technology at General Motors Hughes Electronics in 1988 and became president of Scientific Industries in California, where I am still chairman and CEO.
