Bijan Almassian, MP’81, of Cheshire, Connecticut, is the new chief operating officer of Panacea Pharmaceuticals, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He previously served as president, chief operating officer, and director of AlexiPharma in New Haven, Connecticut.

Michal Avniel, CJ’81, of Scottsdale, Arizona, is the product manager of MediaMax at SunnComm Technologies, which creates CD copy management technology.

Scott J. Freitas, CJ’81, of North Uxbridge, Massachusetts, became the town’s police chief in July. He has been a full-time member of the Uxbridge police force since 1985 and became a sergeant in 1991.

Linnell Trimbell, CJ’82, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, is a member of the Security Advisory Council for PJM Interconnection, which tries to ensure the reliability of the electric power grid in the Northeast. He serves as a senior manager of corporate security for the U.S. operations of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. Among his previous security positions, he was the director of security at Boston’s Carney Hospital.

Arthur J. O’Donnell, MBA’83, of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, is a senior vice president and general manager of Symbol Global Systems and Services Group for Symbol Technologies, a company specializing in data and voice communications.

William G. Chase, UC’84, of Harvard, Massachusetts, is the new chief of police in Westwood. He had been police chief in Harvard since 1995. Raymond Nazzaro, BB’84, of Jacksonville, Florida, is a regional vice president of sales for Waterford Hotel Group.

Ron Rosenbaum, L’84, of St. Paul, Minnesota, is a prominent lawyer and popular morning talk-show host on KSTP radio, in the Twin Cities area.

Jo Gorodetzer, CJ’85, and her husband, Benjamin Edelman, have moved to West Caldwell, New Jersey. They have a daughter, MiaBeth Rose, and Gorodetzer has a son, Charles, from a previous marriage.

Frances Bowen-Sanford, MEd’86, of Burlington, Massachusetts, is the special-education director for the Milford school system.

Philip Joseph Langlais, PHD’86, of Carlsbad, California, has been named dean of graduate studies and associate vice president for research at Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia. He was associate dean for research and graduate studies, and professor of psychology at San Diego State University.

Charles Leone Jr., BA’87, and his wife, Dede, on June 27 celebrated the birth of their second child, Charles John, who joins older brother David. Their father is the director of operations at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, on Long Island. The family lives in Brooklyn.

Kaiser Tamiz Amin, BA’88, of Dhaka, Bangladesh, is the executive vice president and chief operations officer for BRAC Bank.

Keith Willis, BHD’88, of Stoughton, Massachusetts, is in his third season as defensive line coach for the Boston College football team. After a twelve-year career in the National Football League, Willis spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Cincinnati and four years as an assistant coach at Slippery Rock University. He and his wife, Maxine, have a daughter and a son.

Ricky E. Bagolie, BA’89, of Jersey City, New Jersey, is a member of the board of directors of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group. He is a founding partner of Bagolie Friedman; its URL is <www.bagoliefriedman.com>.

Christine (Coluccio) Risi, E’89, and her husband, Dave, celebrated the birth of their second child, Adriana Marie, on March 16. The couple also has a son, Steven. Arnie Tomaino, MBA’89, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, is a member of the board of directors at the Academy of Notre Dame, in Tyngsboro. He is a senior executive of services marketing at Avaya Communications, in Concord, and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, where he teaches customer experience management and customer loyalty development. He and his wife, Shelagh, have two children.
