Gerald G. Lawrence, LA70, MA73, of Flemington, New Jersey, reports hes been unemployed since 1986, when he left Deloitte (now Deloitte Touche): In fact, he started a consulting practice that now reviews the $3 billion infrastructure investment program at SBC Illinois. He is living temporarily in Chicago, leads a team of twelve telecommunications consultants and accountants, and is racking up frequent flier miles commuting to New Jersey. Lawrence is also helping his wife, Julie, as she builds a cosmetics retail business, and he says he sees the golden road to becoming a kept man. Ah, to finally enjoy being unemployed.
Kevin Mooney, CJ73, of Framingham, Massachusetts, is the new chief of police in Lincoln. He has been with the Lincoln police force twenty-five years, most recently as lieutenant.
David Demers, BA74, of Upton, Massachusetts, is the president of Avicon, a consulting firm specializing in supply-chain management and information technology. Demers is cofounder and chief strategy officer
of the company.
Tim Potts, E74, of Westport, Connecticut, is the president and founder of Dark Field Technologies, which specializes in high-resolution

Dan Cremin, BB75, of Melrose, Massachusetts, is a member of the Congregation of Xaverian Brothers. In the past twelve months, he celebrated several significant events. In December 2002, he was honored by Malden Catholic High School with the Ryken Award for his distinguished contributions to the school community. In April, the Eastern Massachusetts Swim Coaches Academy inducted Cremin into its hall of fame, honoring his long-standing dedication to his student-athletes, the sport, and the organization. And in August, he celebrated his thirty-fifth year as a Xaverian Brother.

Brenda Furlong, MBA76, of Manchester, Massachusetts, is the managing director and head of fixed income for Columbia Management Group, the asset management section of FleetBoston Financial. She joined the company from the Hartford Financial Services Group, where she was chief investment officer and president of the Hartford Investment Managing Company.
Brian Newhall, MA76, of Roswell, Georgia, is the principal of Cherokee High School. He previously served as principal at Roswell High School.
Stanley N. Chamallas, PAH77, of Greenland, New Hampshire, is the vice president of clinical affairs for Tandem Medical, a manufacturer of medical infusion devices, and the coauthor of Extended Stability and Parenteral Drugs. He reports that he spends his spare time restoring an antique BMW, kayaking, and sampling good wine.
Pamela (Klein) Chamallas, PAH78, and I have been married for twenty-five years. She is a pharmaceutical sales representative with GlaxoSmithKline. The couple has two sons, Nicholas and Alexander.
Jim Curtis, E77, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, sends in this update: After a number of years at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, I have transferred to the corporate office, involved with ongoing federal construction contracts.
Steve Gangi, LA77, of Branford, Connecticut, in May earned a master of science degree in environmental education from Southern Connecticut State University. He is a chemist for Derby Cellular Products, and he volunteers for the Branford River Project, a watershed protection and preservation group.
Gregory A. Lainas, BA78, of Plantsville, Connecticut, was elected this year to serve a three-year term on the board of governors of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served the organization as a member of both the golf tournament and the membership committees. A division director of Robert Half Management Resources in Hartford, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and past president of the Waterbury chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Phil Peist, E78, of Columbia, New Jersey, is an area director for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. His northern New Jersey territory includes four counties, which he monitors and regulates with a staff of twenty.
Isaac Shapiro, UC78, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, has resigned from the board of directors of the enherent Corporation, an information technology services provider, because of professional commitments overseas. He joined the board in 1991.
Robert Peter Stasis, LC78, of Clearwater, Florida, is the utilities business unit manager for TBE Group, a consulting, design, and engineering company.
Lindsay Cook, PA79, of West Newton, Massachusetts, is a partner in Boston International Capital Partners. He was executive vice president of Liberty Financial, and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society, the New EnglandCanada Business Council, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
Steven E. Hubbard, BA79, of Auburn, Massachusetts, is a real estate agent in the Worcester office of ERA Key Realty Services of Milford. He had been with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and Realty Executives. Hubbard is treasurer of Auburns Pakachoag Church, a member of the Auburn Elks, past president of Early Risers Toastmaster Club in Worcester, and president of the Skyscrapers, Inc., Amateur Astronomical Society of Rhode Island.
Robert Neckes, LA79, MEd80, of Phoenix, Arizona, writes, I have been very busy since relocating to the desert. Im the corporate director of human resources and risk management for Macayos Mexican Kitchen, a restaurant corporation in the Southwest. I also started the rowing program on the Tempe Town Lake, and its quickly turned into one of the fastest-growing rowing programs in the country. Ive literally taught a thousand people how to row in the past five years. I am also the director and lead in both Joey and Marias Comedy Italian Wedding, and The Sopranos Last Supper, the number-one and -two comedies in the valley. Im married, with two kids, Stephanie and Andrew. Life is great out here in the desert.
