Catherine McIntyre, BB’90, of Jacksonville, Florida, and her husband, David Boyd, welcomed the birth of their first child, Samuel Dodd, on January 2. She is a clinical instructor in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville.

David Anderson, AS’91, reports, “Jennifer and I are enjoying life in beautiful Sausalito, California. We would love to hear from anyone from NU.”

Marie H. (Statkus) Berardi, AS’91, and her husband, Michael, of Grafton, Massachusetts, celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Ashley Rose, on February 5. Her older sister is Madison Taylor. Berardi is a specialty pharmaceutical sales representative with McNeil Consumer and Specialty Pharmaceuticals, a division of Johnson and Johnson. She’s also an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Brian Duncanson, CS’91, of Southbury, Connecticut, has started Genesis Adventures. “I have left the corporate world to pursue my passion of adventure racing,” he writes. “Adventure racing is a multisport team competition involving trail running, mountain biking, paddling, etc. You might be familiar with Eco-Challenge. This is the most publicized adventure race.” He notes his company promotes races throughout the Northeast and also runs corporate team-building events. Matthew Lapointe, L’91, of Manchester, New Hampshire, is a partner in the law firm Sheehan Phinney Bass and Green, in Manchester. Lapointe clerked for the late U.S. District Court judge Shane Devine in Manchester and decided to stay in New Hampshire. He has been an active participant in the New Hampshire Bar Association pro bono program for twelve years, president and board member of the Granite State Youth Mentors for two years, and a board member of the Manchester chapter of the American Red Cross for four years. He and his wife, Kristen, have two sons, Benjamin and Michael.

George S. Sarapa, AS’91, and his wife, Cheryl, welcomed the birth of their first child, William “Will” James, on October 29, 2002. They live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Pete Johnson, AS’92, of San Francisco, is the director of new business development for MOC Insurance Services. The company specializes in insurance and risk-managment programs and consultation for the entertainment, real estate, and commercial aviation industries.

Stephen Nathan, BA’92, received an MBA from Rutgers University in May 2002. He is the director of database and frequency marketing at the Borgata Casino and Spa. He and his wife, son, and daughter live in Palermo, New Jersey.

Joe Pieri, AS’92, MS’95, of Cleveland, Ohio, is the assistant dean of undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University.

Robert Segnatelli, E’92, and his wife, Cindy, celebrated the birth of their first child, Alessandro, on June 10, 2002. They live in Middleborough, Massachusetts. Marc Arseneau, BA’93, writes in to say that he, his wife, Gina, and their daughter, Megan, and son, Jack, recently relocated to Seattle from Denver. Colleen Hamilton, AS’93, of Boston, is the cofounder of Pandora Systems, a Boston software development company that specializes in Web solutions. Its client list includes Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston and Massport.

Lisa (Nisbet) Proch, CJ’93, L’96, and her husband, Dan, celebrated the birth of their third daughter, Maya Laurel, on October 24, 2002. Their older children are Alexandra and Zosia. The family lives in North Haven, Connecticut. Proch is a securities attorney with Travelers Insurance in Hartford.

Bob Starck, AS’93, of Boston, writes, “My wife, Sarah (Yattaw), and I celebrated the birth of our first child, Matthew, on September 9, 2001. After traveling around New England working in radio, I landed back in Boston in 1999 at STAR 93.7 (WQSX-FM), where I’m on-air as ‘Rob Tyler’ and also, as the station’s music director, decide the songs listeners hear. (So much for utilizing my journalism degree!) Hello to fellow NU grads Kristen (McCarthy) Walsh, David Guarino, and Frank Murray. Also, fellow former WRBB staffers Pete Mar and Corey Holtzberg.”

Viktor Theiss, L’93, of Boston, is the new head of the internal affairs unit for the Suffolk County sheriff’s office. He is the former deputy chief of the county’s nine district courts.

Sheila Borghi-Nash, CJ’94, of McLean, Virginia, writes, “Greetings from D.C.! A busy year, as my husband, Alan, and I bought closer to the city, while he runs his business and I finish law school. Not missing the D.C. suburban traffic (second only to the L.A. area!). We enjoyed traveling in Eastern Europe last summer—the architectural, historical, and cultural delights of Prague and Vienna were our favorite. Look us up if you’re in D.C.”

H. Dana VanHee, CJ’94, is a member of the litigation department at Mackenzie Hughes in Syracuse, New York.

Gregory Campbell, CJ’95, of Montpelier, Vermont, writes, “I am currently employed by the Vermont State Police and have been for approximately four and a half years. I currently hold the position of detective trooper and have been assigned to the Governor’s Security Unit (GSU) since February 2002. In theory, our unit is the equivalent of the Secret Service, except that we are responsible for the safety of the governor of the state of Vermont. The past year was very busy and exciting. We literally crisscrossed the country week after week, and international destinations included Asia, Europe, South America, Central America, and the Middle East. Things have slowed dramatically as the incoming governor (the former state treasurer) gets settled in. I’m sad to share the news that Glenn Mendez, CJ’96, died in March 2002 while parachuting with his father in the Dominican Republic.”

Neil Coogan, MS’95, of Melrose, Massachusetts, is the nurse manager of the emergency department at the Addison Gilbert Hospital. Suzanne Nam, AS’95, of Boston, now serves as corporate counsel at Genzyme Corporation in Cambridge.

George J. John B. Saunders, MPH’95, of Novi, Michigan, runs Sports Associates, a sports marketing company that represents the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, the Hockey East Tournament, the Beanpot, the AHL’s Grand Rapid Griffins, and the AFL’s Grand Rapid Rampage. Saunders has lived in Michigan since 1996. He and wife Kim have a son, Brendan.

Kevin Doohan, MBA’96, of Calabasas, California, reports that he is the director of marketing for the Digital Insight Corporation. Alexa Mortenson, L’96, is a member of the federal corporate tax division of the national office of KPMG LLP in Washington, D.C. She and her husband, Marc Clayborn, live in Cleveland, Ohio.

Julien Vaughn, BA’96, of Charlottesville, Virginia, writes, “I’m finishing my MBA at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. After graduation, I’ll be moving to Auburn Hills, Michigan, to work for DaimlerChrysler Corporation in the corporate finance department. Kimberly (Schaier) Burke, AS’97, and her husband, Kevin, celebrated the birth of their third child, Kaylee, on July 22, 2002. Andrew and Dylan are their older children. Adam Chapman, AS’99, is the new midday disc jockey at WBCN-FM radio in Boston. Known as Adam 12, he was a disc jockey at NU’s WRBB-FM and formerly hosted morning drive time on KTEG-FM in Albuquerque.

Adam Matthews, BA’99, and Katie Pierce, N’99, were married on September 21, 2002. They live in Salem, Massachusetts.
