Jeffrey Kaplan, BA’90, married Laura Klein in May 2001 in Coral Gables, Florida. In October 2002, the couple celebrated the birth of a daughter, Dani Hunter. Kaplan is a partner in the law firm Hanzman and Criden in Coral Gables. He specializes in securities arbitration, representing those who have lost money as the result of alleged wrongdoing of the broker or brokerage firm. The family lives in Miami.

Tinamarie (Micacci) Blinn, BA’92, and her husband, Roger, celebrated the birth of Meredith Rebecca on August 29, 2002. They live in Kensington, Connecticut.

Douglas Gray, AS’92, writes that he’s in the Army and “deployed to Kuwait, working for the Communications Directorate of Coalition Forces Land Component Command. My wife, Daria, is taking time off in the States after a hectic three years in the Army managing marketing and special events in Germany. Michele (Gardner) Saich, CJ’92, and William “Bill” Saich, AS’92, celebrated the birth of their first child, William Maxwell, on January 29, 2002. They live in Ossining, New York. Gayla Bradford Campbell, BA’93, married Michael Gerard Campbell in September 1999. They celebrated the birth of their first child, Bradford Michael, in October 2001. The family lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Michael DiSabato, CJ’93, of Manchester, New Hampshire, is a lieutenant for the Manchester Police Department. He joined the force in 1982.

Kristen Lucia-McHale, GB’93, and her husband, Gary McHale, of Williamsville, New York, welcomed the birth of Hannah Elizabeth on March 25, 2001. Lucia-McHale is an executive recruiter for Snelling Personnel Services, where she specializes in legal and medical placement.

Ronald Richard Magas, AS’93, and Jennifer Lee Fanning, MTPW’98, were married October 12, 2002, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Trumbull, Connecticut, with the reception at Oronoque Country Club in Stratford. They honeymooned in Aruba and Manchester, Vermont, and now live in Monroe, Connecticut. Magas received a master’s degree in organizational communication from the University of Hartford and is a vice president for Kitchen Publications. Fanning taught undergraduate English at Northeastern for more than six years. She is now an English professor at Yale University in New Haven and at Fairfield University in Fairfield. She says she wishes her former students well and thanks them for her fond memories of NU.

Lisa A. (Ruddy) Olejnik, BPH’93, of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, announces the birth of a son on October 16, 2002.

Richard P. Vandale, MBA’93, of Holden, Massachusetts, is the chief investment officer, executive vice president, and managing director at Banknorth Investment Management Group in Concord, New Hampshire. He oversees the company’s twenty-one offices.

Kriston (Anderson) Welch, AS’93, and her husband, David, celebrated the birth of their third child and first daughter, Isabella Claire, on September 8, 2002. Her older brothers are David and Jakob. The family lives in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Rob Wolske, BA’93, and Cynthia Brunner were married on June 15, 2002. They live in Methuen, Massachusetts.

Amir Siddiki, MBA’95, of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is the Pepsi-Cola International marketing manager for Saudi Arabia.

Vaughn Vasconcellos, MBA’95, of Honolulu, Hawaii, is the president of Akimeka, an information technology and management business. In 2000, Vasconcellos was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Hawaii by the Small Business Administration.

Henry Daley, L’96, of Alexandria, Virginia, is a partner in the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop.

Patrick Hayes, MBA’96, of South Natick, Massachusetts, and his wife, Elaine, celebrated the birth of a daughter, Abigail Elizabeth, who joins older sister Phoebe. Hayes is a vice president with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, a management and information technology consulting company. He heads the customer relationship management practice for telecommunications, media, and entertainment industry sectors.

Wilfred W. Labiosa, GB’96, of Boston, is the health manager for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues for the city of Boston.

Scott Levinson, MBA’97, is a financial representative with The Bullfinch Group in Needham, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Wendy, live in Sharon with their children, Hannah and Jake.

John Roberts, CJ’97, MJ’99, and Mary (Relford) Roberts, CJ’98, of Tucson, Arizona, celebrated their first wedding anniversary in Las Vegas, as they followed the band Phish on several stops during a winter concert tour. The couple is used to touring. After John received his master’s degree, they visited forty-six states during 1999 and 2000. In the fall of 2000, they traveled to eight European countries during a two-month backpacking trip. For an encore, they attended a monthlong Outward Bound course on the Rio Grande.

Mark T. Swiniarski, CJ’97, of Salem, Massachusetts, works for the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. He and his wife, Kristy, celebrated the birth of a son, Jackson Thomas, on July 27, 2002.
