Keith Dubanevich, AS’80, of Portland, Oregon, is a shareholder in the law firm Garvey Schubert Barer. His practice focuses on complex litigation and health-care matters. He is a member of the firm’s executive committee and published a paper in China on America’s product liability law.

Lou J. Giannotti, PAH’80, of Newtown, Pennsylvania, is the director of pharmacy services for Stop & Shop. He is married and has two children.

Paul Godfrey, UC’80, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, is vice president/international for Citizens Bank in Providence, Rhode Island. He joined Citizens in 2001 from FleetBoston.

Jay Groob, CJ’80, of Brookline, Massachusetts, has been named the investigator of 2002 by the Council of International Investigators. Groob’s company, American Investigative Services, is based in Brookline, and also has an office in New York City. “We’re after-the-fact investigators trying to provide as much information as possible to defense counsel. They don’t want any surprises,” he says.

Karen Festa Kryder, PAH’80, of Rochester, New York, has worked at the University of Rochester for twelve years. She is a clinical specialist in quality assurance for the Department of Transfusion Medicine. She has four children, sons Korey, Kasey, and Jamie, and daughter Katie. Terry Parham, CJ’80, is the head of drug operations for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Lima, Peru. His prior assignments were in Boston; Providence; Miami; Washington, D.C.; and Argentina. While in Washington, he was a DEA spokesman on a number of network television and radio programs. He also made a cameo appearance in the Oscar-winning movie Traffic. Helen Priola, E’80, of Norwood, Massachusetts, is a senior vice president and shareholder at Woodward and Curran, an environmental consulting company in Dedham. With twenty-two years of civil engineering experience, Priola specializes in planning, design, and construction management of water, storm water, and wastewater projects. She has worked for the Metropolitan District Commission, the Boston Water and Sewer Commission, and the Narragansett Bay Commission.

James Stankiewicz, CJ’81, of Manchester, New Hampshire, is a lieutenant in the Manchester Police Department. He joined the department in 1986 and earned a master’s degree in business administration in 1996 from Southern New Hampshire University.

Jeff Bail, MBA’82, lives in Deerfield, Illinois, with his wife, Taryn, and sons Tyler and Austin. Bail merged his five-year-old sports marketing agency with DraftWorldwide. He is the senior vice president of sports and entertainment marketing for the company. Bail reports that classmate Mike Hammon, a senior vice president with GE Capital, lives nearby in Winnetka and they stay in touch. Matthew H. MacConnell, AS’82, E’83, and Diane Raemer MacConnell, AS’83, live in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with their children, Ross and Karly. Matthew earned an MBA in technology management from the University of Phoenix and is the analytical systems technology manager in the global engineering organization of Air Products and Chemicals in Allentown. Robert Saleski, UC’82, of Medway, Massachusetts, is the city’s police chief. He previously was the administrative sergeant. A graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, Saleski is a certified police instructor through the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council.

Linda (Babner) McCauley, PAH’83, lives in Aberdeen, Maryland, with her husband, Franklin, and children Phil and Stacey. She writes, “Hi to the class of 1983. Susan Scheider, L’83, chairs the collective bargaining unit of the Hawaii Nurses Association. Prior to moving to Honolulu, she was a labor counsel with the District of Columbia Nurses Association for twenty years. She states that her main goal is to counteract a statewide nursing shortage.

Bill Thornton, CS’84, has been appointed a White House Fellow for the year 2002–2003 by President George W. Bush. A lieutenant colonel in the Air Force, Thornton has completed a two-year command of the Flight Test Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base in California. He is married to Lisa Sieper, BB’85. They have three children.

Anthony Lent, BA’85, of Northville, Michigan, is vice president of wireless services for General Motors, OnStar Division.

Brian Shea, PAH’85, PHD’88, is a senior manager in the health-care consulting practice of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. “I continue to be the lead for patient safety issues, particularly in the area of physician order entry and medication safety,” he says. “When I’m not on the road, I live in Peabody, Massachusetts, with my wife, Maureen, and four children, Sara, Patrick, Julie, and Christine.”

Stephen Adair, MA’86, PHD’93, of West Hartford, Connecticut, has been honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award for 2002–2003 at Central Connecticut State University, where he is an associate professor of sociology. The award recognizes his contributions to improving undergraduate education in the sociology department, which he joined in 1997. Adair chaired the university’s general education committee, is a member of the university’s assessment team, and is active in the Teaching Excellence Forum.

Neil A. Lipinski, MBA’86, of Brooklyn, New York, is the managing director of Colliers ABR, where his client list includes the United Nations Population Fund, Where International, and New York University. He has sixteen years of commercial real estate experience and was previously vice president of Tishman Real Estate.
Janice Ellis, L’87, of Snohomish County, Washington, has been elected county prosecutor. It was the Democrat’s first bid at public office after working as a deputy prosecuting attorney, assistant attorney general, court arbitrator, and judge pro tem.

Jackie Griswold, EDD’87, of Palmer, Massachusetts, is a faculty member and department chair of the human services program at Holyoke Community College. Gloria Hall, AS’87, was one of five Worcester-area women to be featured in a photography exhibition, Every Woman’s Voice: 125 Years of Women’s Leadership, organized by Boston’s Women’s Educational and Industrial Union. Hall was the first college graduate in her family. She sold commercial and industrial real estate, managed shopping centers, and helped redesign Olde Shrewsbury Village. She now serves as director of the Willis Center Cultural Institute. She credits her grandmother and great-aunt for setting an example. “I admired them and the work they did,” she says. “They provided the inspiration for me.”

Craig W. Semple, BB’87, of New Fairfield, Connecticut, is enrolled in the education leadership doctoral program at Columbia University. He is the K–12 coordinator of health and physical education, and is the athletics director for the New Fairfield school district.

Daniel Bradford, SET’89, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, is the vice president of strategic alliances at Create!form International in Waltham, Massachusetts. He was previously director of business development at Omtool. He and wife Susan have two children, Tyler and Kaitlyn.

Patrice C. Deddens, BA’89, of Villanova, Pennsylvania, reports that her daughter Catherine Elizabeth was born on October 13, 2002, joining Mary Lee, who was born on September 5, 1999. Deddens is an ERP specialist at Lockheed Martin.

Brian Moses, BA’89, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, owns two Coldwell Banker real estate franchises in the southern part of the state, and he conducts real estate training seminars throughout North America.
