Michael Ostrander, MBA00, of St. Louis, Missouri, is the lead international corporate bond trader for Edward Jones. He also serves as the management vice president for the St. Louis chapter of the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Andy Trincia, MBA00, of Redondo Beach, California, has been accepted into the Peace Corps as a business volunteer. He leaves June 7 for a two-year assignment in Romania, where hell work in community economic development, assisting community organizations and advising small-business owners and farmers as they adapt to a free-market economy.
Christopher Grilly and Devon Shimkus, both E01, of San Diego, were married on July 7, 2001, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. They moved to the West Coast in August and are both in a doctoral program in biochemical engineering at UCSan Diego. Patricia McAlpine, UC01, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, was hired as foundation assistant in January at Grants Management Associates in Boston. She also works as a freelance writer for the Sun Chronicle in Attleboro, and recently joined the Massachusetts State Poetry Society.
Sean Stentiford, AS01, of Boston, has been elected to a two-year term as secretary on the executive board of the Emergency Medical Services Division of the Boston Police Patrolmens Association, AFL-CIO Local 16807. He is a paramedic for the city of Boston.
Lori A. Thomae, MA01, of Westford, Massachusetts, is the owner and president of LAB Communications, which provides writing and editing services to pharmaceutical, biotechnical, and managed-care companies. Shes also a faculty member of University College in the technical writing department.
