1950s Harry Fishman, E50, of Wilmington, Delaware, retired from DuPont Co. after thirty-one years and now is the co-owner of Delaware Marketing Services. David Hamilton, E51, of Marion, Massachusetts, writes, Still feeling good about our red-carpet treatment at our fiftieth reunion and enthused by the beauty of the campus and buildings. Salvatore P. Luciano, BA52, of West Peabody, Massachusetts, writes in to say that fiftieth reunion plans are well under way. Lets all respond to announcements expeditiously. Stanford, BA52, of Naples, Florida, says hes looking forward to the fiftieth reunion in 2002. I am assuming it will be held on the Cape. If not, try Naples. Its great down here. Edward H. Gleason, LA53, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, writes, To my Northeastern classmates, retirement in Chattanooga means you can play golf all year round and forget the snow tires. Always find plenty to do. Recently got engaged in teaching chemistry and science to home-schoolers. Beverly Cobbs Hurney, LA54, of Newton, Massachusetts, has compiled a book that is entitled St. Marys Cemetery, Newton, Massachusetts, Epitaphs, which was published by the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Anthony D. Napolitano, LA55, of West Somerville, Massachusetts, is a volunteer interpreter for the Human Body Connection exhibits at Bostons Museum of Science. Johanna Krosschell Grenda, LA56, of Lexington, Massachusetts, since 1993 has been enjoying retirement after working at Raytheon Company for thirty-five years. She had served mainly in the research division library as a technical information specialist. Bob Matthews, BA57, of Heathsville, Virginia, says hes enjoying retirement in the Northern Neck area of Virginia, and is currently up to his ears in volunteer work. Berwick Jr., Ed58, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, retired after working in education for forty-one years, a calling that was a result of my Northeastern education. Thomas J. Davis, BA58, of Chester, Virginia, writes that hes playing lots of tennis in semiretirement. I am continuing to teach business courses at Averett University in Richmond. Joseph M. Galvin, LA59, of Watertown, Massachusetts, retired in January 2000 from the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training. Janice L. Richards, E59, of Grosse Ile, Michigan, writes about herself and her husband, Sam, also E59: Sam and I retired after thirty-three years; Sam was at Monsanto, and I was at Loctite. We have a wonderful family, three children and four grandchildren. We are very busy with a wide variety of interests. |
