Harvey Sklar, BB’80, of Randolph, Massachusetts,
completed his fifteenth Pan-Massachusetts Challenge Ride in 2003.
The ride, a 200-mile bicycle trek from Sturbridge to Provincetown
in August, included more than 3,500 riders who raised more than
$16 million for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
David C. Alexander, CJ’81, of Wells, Maine, retired
in June 2003 as a sergeant after twenty-one years in the Maine State
Police. “Choosing to stay in law enforcement, I was selected as
a lieutenant for the Ogunquit Police Department and have been working
there since the day I left the state police,” he writes.
Shelley (Pollack) Coate, CJ’81, of Hollister, California,
earned a doctorate in psychology from Alliant University in Los
Angeles and is a correctional psychologist. She also has a small
forensic practice. “Work and family keep me quite busy and content,”
she writes. “Thanks, Northeastern.”
Barbara Lundeen Collins, MA’81, of Gloucester,
Massachusetts, works at home by computer and is a volunteer English
tutor to Brazilian immigrants.

Bruce A. Kilgallon, CJ’81, of Pembroke, Massachusetts,
and his daughter, Katelin, volunteered for the Appalachia Service
Project, a home-repair ministry that helps rebuild homes. “This
year, we worked on homes in Fayette County, West Virginia,” writes
Kilgallon. “This is the fourth consecutive year of our participation
in the Appalachia Service Project.”
Sally Hoffman Menard, N’81, lives in Somerset,
Massachusetts, with her husband and two children, Stephen and Peter.
She is a case worker at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
Robert Ryan, LC’81, of Marlborough, Massachusetts,
is a member of the technical advisory board of Sandburst Corporation
and vice president of advance core engineering at Enterasys Networks.
Jim Bailey, PA’82, of Marshfield, Massachusetts,
is a partner in Needel, Welch, and Stone, an accounting firm in
Rockland. He’s also a certified public accountant and a certified
financial planner.
Parwez Wahid, E’82, has earned an MBA from the
University of Phoenix. He works for JPMorgan in Lowell, Massachusetts.

an executive MBA at Florida Atlantic University.
Wendy Talbert-Gordon, AS’83, is an adjunct professor
of culinary arts at the State University of New York in Rockland.

Frank Vitagliano, BA’83, of Marietta, Georgia,
has been an IBM employee for thirty years and is now the company’s
vice president of distribution channels management. In 2003, he
was presented VARBusiness’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

manager of Erikson Pro, an audio equipment distribution company
based in Montreal.
Gerard S. Carlozzi, LC’84, MBA’86, of West Chester,
Pennsylvania, is executive vice president and chief operating officer
of Integra LifeSciences Holdings. He was president and chief executive
officer of Bionx Implants.
Mary Helen Gillespie, AS’84, MBA’99, of Marshfield,
Massachusetts, is the president of Gillespie Interactive, a strategic
management consulting company. During the fall 2003 term, she returned
to NU to teach a course on promoting nonprofit organizations for
University College’s graduate certificate program in nonprofit management.

Rebecca L. Cummings, UC’85, of North Attleboro,
Massachusetts, is a senior estimator for Cutler Associates, a design-build
firm in Worcester.
Frank Santo, BB’86, of Wellesley, Massachusetts,
and his wife, Stacey, have owned Isabella, a restaurant in Dedham,
for eight years. “I invite all to come in and say hello,” he writes.

V. Norene Highleyman, BB’87, of Jackson, Wyoming,
married Andrew Christensen on September 19, 2003, at Jackson Lake
Lodge. Karen (Conners) Haberbosch, BB’87, was in the wedding party.
“My two physical therapy clinics are running well and almost without
me, so I should have plenty of time for a new family,” she writes.
“Still traveling and exploring all that I can. Hopefully, I will
finish my doctorate research this year. Hope everyone is well.”
Anne Glennon, CJ’87, received a law degree from
the New England School of Law on May 23, 2003. She was a New England
Scholar and won CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in alternate
dispute resolution; housing discrimination; and wills, estates,
and trusts. She and her husband, Mark, live in Manomet, Massachusetts.
Ed Klotzbier, AS’87, of Lynnfield, Massachusetts,
was honored by the Boston Business Journal as one of its “40 Under
40,” a selection of greater Boston’s best business and civic people
under forty years of age. In November, Klotzbier was named vice
president for student affairs at Northeastern.
Rich Igo, BA’88, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, is
the new head hockey coach at Archbishop Williams High School in
Braintree. He is a former player and assistant coach at the school.
Edward J. Sennott Jr., CJ’88, married Suzanne Collins
of Cohasset, Massachusetts, on October 18, 2003, at St. Stephen’s
Church in Cohasset. They live in Norwood.
James Smith, E’88, of Leominster, Massachusetts,
is a principal in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services practice
at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston.
Javier A. Maymir, L’89, writes, “During the summer
of 2003, my family and I moved from Kansas City to Dallas. I’m a
senior counsel for a bureau of the U.S. Treasury Department. My
wife, Margaret, and our three sons are making new friends, and we’re
slowly learning our way around Dallas.”
James F. Nardozzi, CJ’89, of Waterbury, Connecticut
(where he is acting deputy police chief), received a doctorate in
public administration from Nova Southeastern University, in Fort
Lauderdale, in June 2003. His dissertation concerned the effect
of the supervisor-subordinate relationship on sick-day usage in
urban municipal police departments. A faculty member at Teikyo Post
University, he is the president of the Connecticut chapter of the
