Bryan Goldstein, E’90, and Amy (Parkin) Goldstein, BB’91, of Litchfield, New Hampshire, welcomed their third child, Rachel Elizabeth, on October 6, 2000. She joins brothers Jacob and Matthew.

Joanne (Salvaggio) Grindal, MBA’90, says she’s “migrated permanently” to Sydney, Australia, with her husband, Iain, and sons, Tyler and Connor. She is the senior credit analyst and risk manager in the Global Financial Institutions Group at Citibank. She had been with Citibank in London since October 1992.

Daniel P. Hickey, CJ’90, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, is a lieutenant with the Metropolitan District Commission Park Rangers. He and his wife, Gail, have a son, Daniel, and are expecting their second child in April. “Best wishes to Gordon, Amybeth, Brenda, and everyone that put up with me,” he writes.

Christian W. Kasparian, SET’90, of Denville, New Jersey, fondly recalls his days on the third floor in Stetson West. “Live on, Josie, Shniv, Curly, Christian, Raymond, Gassett, Doyd,” he writes.

James Koerner, BA’90, and Stephanie (Kallan) Koerner, BA’92, of Toms River, New Jersey, celebrated the birth of their second son, Mark Lawrence, on November 1, 2000. He joins two-year-old brother, James Nicholas. Jim is employed as a certified public accountant with Koerner, Koerner, Galati, and Oriel, and Stephanie is a full-time mom. Dan Mason, AS’90, and his wife, Kathryn, say hello from Apex, North Carolina. “We have three kids, Kelsey, Andrew, and Cameron,” he writes. “I’m busy working for Merrill Lynch, and still stay involved in broadcasting, working a postgame show for the Carolina Hurricanes’ radio network. Rich Stelmach, CS’90, of Raleigh, North Carolina, received a master’s degree in computer science in 1999 from North Carolina State University. He is a development software engineer at IBM in Research Triangle Park.

Shelly Van Dellen, MPA’90, and her husband, Alan, of Golden Valley, Minnesota, celebrated the birth of their third child, Maren Leigh, on June 22, 2000. She joins siblings Christina and Bennett.

Sheila Zhuang, MS’90, has earned the designation of Associate of the Society of Actuaries. She is a senior actuarial systems analyst for Pacific Life Insurance in Newport Beach, California.

Jon Boroshok, MBA’91, and his wife, Caren, of Groton, Massachusetts, and daughter, are expecting their second child in July. Boroshok is president of TechMarcom, a marketing communications agency for emerging technologies. Kristen (Scanlon) Fessele, N’91, and her husband, Martin, welcomed a daughter, Abigail Rose, on July 10, 2000—Fessele’s birthday. She writes, “I’m still working for Amgen as a CNS, and recently passed the Adult NP board exam. Danny Gromfin and Linea Rowe Gromfin, both MBA’91, returned to the Boston area (Belmont) after ten years in San Francisco. Danny is director of public relations for HighGround, a public relations and marketing agency for emerging high-tech firms. Linea is director of product marketing for eRoom Technology, a provider of digital workplace solutions.

Alan Jelalian, E’91, of Bedford, Massachusetts, is a senior engineer at EPM, a consulting group to the nuclear power industry, in Framingham.

Mark G. McGonagle, BA’91, and his wife, Lisa, celebrated the birth of a son, Mark Gregory Jr., on January 12, 1999.

Megan Mooha, MA’91, married Matthew Flynn last March in Chicago.

Stephen Dawson, E’92, of Sanford, North Carolina, is a captain in the Army. He recently completed a three-year tour of duty in Honolulu as a company commander of a Light Infantry Communications Company in the 25th Infantry Division, and currently serves as the deputy commander of the Joint Communications Unit at Fort Bragg. In January 2000, Dawson married Sonja Christine Edquid. He says he’d love to hear from classmates and fellow ROTC cadets.

Tamim Habal, ME’92, lives in Paris, France, with his wife and daughter. He is a training manager and consultant for MERANT, an e-business software solutions company.

Howard S. Hirsch, AS’92, and his wife, Pam, of New York City, celebrated the birth of a daughter, Miranda Vivian, on September 10, 2000. “Life is good,” he says.

BA’92, MBA’95, says she enjoyed a momentous 2000. On January 1, she bought a house in Massapequa, New York. On June 11, she married David Faibish. On October 16, she became a marketing manager for Artec Systems.

Susan B. Lit, MBA’92, has been named president and publisher of Sky Publishing. She is only the fourth person to lead the company, which celebrates its sixtieth anniversary this year. Sky Publishing is best known for Sky & Telescope magazine.

Bhaskar Banerjee, E’93, ME’96, and Lynda Hall, BA’97, of Boston, were married on October 7, 2000. They met at Northeastern in 1993 at the Cahners tutoring center. Banerjee earned an MBA from Cornell University last May, and Hall earned a master’s degree in corporate communications from Ithaca College last September.

Russell Cormier, E’93, of San Jose, California, writes, “All is great in California. Nicole and I are expecting our first child in June. We could not be happier! Thank you, Northeastern, for the opportunity to make a difference in the world.”

Michael Scanlon, MS’93, of Ewing, New Jersey, has been named general manager of Sovereign Bank Arena, a 10,500-seat concert and sports facility in Trenton. Gregory J. Tufaro, BPH’93, married Amy C. Ross on May 22, 1999, in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Robert F. Green, BA’94, of Boston, reports that his company, Innervisions Internet Services, launched version 3.0 of its website on January 10. Frederick Lora, CJ’94, of Warner Robins, Georgia, is a captain in the Army. He recently took command of the only Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System company. At Northeastern, he was a member of Phi Gamma Pi and was commissioned through the Army ROTC program.

Richard E. Barthelmess, UC’95, of Danvers, Massachusetts, is a police officer in Hamilton, Massachusetts. Jennifer Edwards, BPH’96, GB’97, and Brandon Harnois, BA’96, MBA’00, moved from Belmont, Massachusetts, to Lakewood, Colorado, last September. Edwards is employed as a physical therapist at the Swedish Medical Center, and Harnois works as an internal financial consultant at Exp@nets. “We wanted a change and have found the outdoors that we never had back east,” they write. “We spend the majority of our weekends in the Rockies, whether it be skiing, fly fishing, hiking, biking, or camping. Michael D. Sacco, N’97, of Plainville, Massachusetts, works in the pediatric intensive care unit at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. He formerly worked for three years at Rhode Island Hospital. “My sons, Joshua and Benjamin, are doing well,” he writes.

Randy Zella, BA’97, of Hull, Massachusetts, has started a chartering company, Boating Buddies. “Will have some big catamarans to charter by the week for bareboat or crewed this spring through the fall. Anyone associated with Northeastern is due a deep discount,” he writes. “This is our business’s first summer up here, and we want to make it a blast. Sail around the Boston Harbor State Park Islands. GB’98, married Kenneth Baker on August 19, 2000. Classmates at the wedding included Dora Psiakis, BB’98, Brenda Dietz, GB’98, and Joy Ashcroft, GB’98. Valez is a clinical research scientist at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, New Jersey. She oversees the conduct of international clinical trials in transplantation and immunology.
