Francis X. Kyle, B'52, of Reading, Massachusetts, writes, "At
age seventy-nine, I am back in college again, this time in a 'Learning
Program for Retirees,' which is a lot of fun as well as far superior to
watching or reading what passes for news via media channels. Does N.U.
have such a program? 'Tis a good way to make some bucks, and we retirees
are not a troublesome lot."
David W. Paulson, E'52, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, retired in
January from Sverdrup Civil in Boston after forty-eight years in the field
of electrical engineering. He and his wife celebrated their fiftieth wedding
anniversary last year.
Dick Robichaud, LA'53, and his son, Keith Robichaud, BA'87,
are saddened to report the death of Norman E. Cheney, E'21, Dick's father-in-law
and Keith's grandfather.
Charles D. Mason, E'54, and Elsie M. Mason, E'53, of Nokomis,
Florida, write, "Enjoying the good life in southwest Florida, thanks
to our Northeastern education."
Joseph J. Albanese, E'57, retired in 1998 after forty years with
Texaco and moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, where he built a house
in a golf community. He has five children and four grandchildren.
Norman Conrad, BA'57, of Walpole, Massachusetts, started his
own business, Proforma Customized Business Products, after forty years
in the printing industry. In his spare time, he's an entertainer in a one-man
minstrel show.
Jerold J. Golner, E'57, retired as president and chief executive
officer of Borden Global Packaging, a company with twenty-seven manufacturing
facilities in twelve countries. He says he's currently "dabbling"
in management consulting and enjoying time with his three children and
nine grandchildren. He adds he'd like to receive e-mail from chemical engineering
