Arthur D. Marlin, BA'60, of Lexington, Massachusetts, retired last
December after eleven years as president and chief operating officer of
NACMNew England, the local affiliate of the National Association of
Credit Management. Previously, he spent thirty-two years with Cabot Corporation,
beginning as a co-op student and finishing as corporate credit manager.
Kenneth L. Sullivan, BA'60, has moved from Florida to Wiscasset,
Maine.
James P. Conley, BA'61, writes, "After nearly fourteen years
away from Boston, I was persuaded to delay my retirement to become professional
practice director of Ernst & Young International. I joined Ernst &
Young as a co-op student more than forty years ago. I am spending considerable
time in London and New York, and my wife and I are living in Chatham until
we find a house in the Boston area. Our son, Peter, graduated from Yale
last May and is attending St. Louis University Medical School. I remember
my five years at Northeastern with an incredible amount of fondness."
George Weber, E'61, MBA'68, has retired from the Defense Intelligence
Agency after working as an aerospace engineer in several industry and government
positions. He says he and his wife, M. Irene, will spend their time with
family members and friends in New England and the Georgia-Florida region.
James M. McCarthy, E'62, of Queensbury, New York, retired from
the New York State Health Department after twenty-five years. His e-mail

Burton T. Richards, E'62, of Flat Rock, North Carolina, retired
after thirty-three years with Procter & Gamble. His first grandchild,
Zachary, was born last year.
Dave Homan, E'63, retired after thirty-three years in federal
service, thirty of those with the Air Force. His last position was deputy
for civil engineering for the Fifty-fifth Wing, Offutt Air Force Base,
in Nebraska. He said his plans include "continuing bike riding, rediscovering
my golf game, and traveling throughout the country to do both while looking
for warmer places to spend the winters." Homan and his wife, Judith,
have two children, Amy and David, and one granddaughter, Taylor.
Edward J. Ryan Jr., BA'63, of Warren, Ohio, is president of Confidential
Consultants and a certified family mediator.
Richard H. Obuchowski, E'64, of Latham, New York, retired after
thirty-five years with the New York State Department of Transportation.
He and his wife, Elinor, plan to travel to "new and old places and
pursue our many other hobbies."
Virginia Close Bacon, LA'65, of Portola Valley, California, writes,
"Our addition now complete, we're enjoying our new office with home
computer network and view of the San Francisco Bay. If you're relocating
to this area, please let me know. I'm with Taylor Properties."
Jason D. Traiger, Ed'65, is manager of technical publications
for Harris & Jeffries, in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Lucinda E. Leonard, LA'66, of Potomac, Maryland, served as program
member for the Library of Congress's implementation of its integrated library
system.
Reggie Wong, E'66, of Boston, is a general contractor specializing
in restaurant design and construction. He also operates Weggie's Pub in
Chinatown.
Mason P. Fleming, UC'67, of San Antonio, Texas, is director of
client services for PCI San Antonio, a marketing and career management
company.
Myron E. Fox, E'67, of Needham Heights, Massachusetts, retired
in 1993 from GTE as director of engineering.
Frederick J. McGarry, E'67, ME'71, of Deerfield, New Hampshire,
is chief engineer of site remediation programs for the waste management
division of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES).
He joined DES four years ago after twenty-five years in the consulting
business.
Philip J. Swissler Jr., MBA'67, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts,
retired from Mitre Corporation in Bedford after thirty-eight years of service.
William J. Maloney, BA'68, of Reading, Massachusetts, attended,
along with his family, the reunion of the 173rd Airborne Brigade at Fort
Bragg, North Carolina.
Tom Stewart, LA'68, of Pleasant Hill, California, has established
Stewart St. Johns, a supplier of marketing resources to small businesses,
after a long career in international and domestic banking. "I am amazed
at the growth and development at N.U. over the past thirty years,"
he says.
Lucille Facella Cafarella, LA'69, and John Cafarella, E'70,
of Swampscott, Massachusetts, note their daughter, Rachel, a member of
the class of 2004, is carrying on a family tradition at N.U. In addition
to her parents, Rachel's aunts, Mia Facella, BB'71, Carol Facella, CJ'73,
and Nancy Cafarella Bailey, LA'74, all are N.U. graduates. "There
was absolutely no pressure on Rachel to choose N.U., but she made a great
choice," says Lucille.
Stephen C. Ladd, E'69, of Framingham, Massachusetts, reports
that the alumni of the early years of Nu Sigma Phi/ZBT held their annual
Big Chill dinner on December 9, 1999.
