Mahfuzul Chowdhury, PhD ’92 awarded a Fulbright Scholarship

Mahfuzul Chowdhury, PhD ’92 has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship. Dr. Chowdhury is a professor of political science and director of the Social Science Research Institute at the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh. He will begin his term as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in October, joining the Department of Political Science at Duke University for the academic year. He will be working on a project a project “Democracy, Governance, and Civil Society in Bangladesh and South Asia: Lessons from the USA.”
