On Campus Resources

The University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) is available for all undergraduate, law, and graduate students who have paid the health center fees. Fully staffed with both medical and mental health personnel, the UHCH many hours convenient for students busy schedule’s including those who are on coop.  UHCS offers a myriad of health information as well as care. In addition it’s counseling services focus on short-term therapy, group counseling and several other services.

ViSION is the Violence Support, Intervention and Outreach Network at Northeastern. ViSION brings together a network of campus and community allies focused on providing prevention, response and education for sexual assault and all types of violence, for Northeastern students. They offer: training and education in prevention and response to sexual assault, interpersonal violence, stalking, and hate crimes; access to immediate and confidential medical and counseling services; referral to compassionate and skilled legal services; public awareness presentations; and assistance and support in planning for your campus organization's sexual assault and other violence awareness.

The Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern (OPEN) is the office that provides expanded programming around alcohol and drug education as a part of Student Affairs. OPEN provides supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental services; we encourage students to make informed decisions about alcohol and other drug use and strive to reduce harm that can be associated with substance abuse such as poor academic performance, violence, health implications, high-risk sexual behavior, and addiction. Northeastern University fosters a community that reinforces healthy choices and encourages responsible decision-making regarding the use of alcohol and other drugs. Northeastern strives to maintain a working, living, and learning environment that is free from the negative effects that alcohol and other drug use can create. Additionally, the University is committed to enforcing policies and laws surrounding alcohol and other drug use. The University fulfills this philosophy by providing educational programs, resources for treatment, and referrals for students, faculty and staff who may experience problems related to substance use.

The Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR) is committed to cultivating and instilling the values of civility and good citizenship to all community members through the promotion of positive decision-making both inside and outside of the classroom. They work with the Student Conduct Board to assist with the enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct, as well as offering Conflict Resolution training and mediation. OSCCR additionally hosts the Incident Report Form, which can be used to report instances of bias on campus.

Career Services specializes in helping you figure out what major, career or job might work best for you, and also in helping you plan and carry out a successful internship or job search, or explore other options. They bring you a wide variety of resources, programs and events, and opportunities to meet employers. Their experienced and enthusiastic staff is eager to help you get where you want to go, throughout your Northeastern career and beyond!

The Center of Community Service supports Northeastern University’s long tradition of service to the community and commitment to civic engagement. The CCS is where students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community organizations can exchange information, resources, and referrals for community service and service-learning opportunities. Through our programs and events, service-learning programs, and AmeriCorps partnerships, all members of the campus community have opportunities to contribute to the health and well-being of their surrounding environment. By engaging with the city of Boston and beyond, we draw strength for our diverse surroundings and contribute to them as a partner and resource.
