Thanksgiving is upon us, and we at Level are thankful for lifelong learning and new advancements in higher education. Here are some of the industry leaders who have recognized Level this year as we continue to innovate on higher education and make learning accessible.
Level has been shortlisted for the 2016 Reimagine Education Awards, from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and QS Stars.
Reimagine Education celebrates leaders who help resolve the need to reimagine education: Current pedagogical approaches are insufficient for preparing the billions of students pursuing higher education globally. They are also insufficiently-suited for preparing the type of leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers necessary for the future. The rising cost of traditional education is another incentive for change.
Bostinno 50 on Fire
BostInno’s 50 on Fire awards recognize the city’s inventors, disruptors, luminaries, and newsmakers across all industries. Level’s Founding Director Nick Ducoff is one of the Education finalists awarded for creativity and effectiveness in converging education and technology to create a successful story. Other finalists include Panorama Education, EdX, Harvard Innovation Lab and Cengage.
OpenIDEO Higher Education Challenge
Level has partnered with OpenIDEO to help create solutions in higher education. The OpenIDEO challenge seeks to answer the question: How might we ready students for active civic engagement, real-world employment, and career success in a rapidly changing economy?
Level will also be providing $25,000 worth of challenge support in the form of an “Idea to MVP” entrepreneurship bootcamp for one or more qualifying top ideas, and access to programs in other in-demand tech skills.
