Using E-Portfolios to Support Integration of Learning


While most faculty would agree that the whole of a student’s education should be greater than the sum of its parts, it is challenging to operationalize what it means for students to “integrate” learning and for faculty to support this integration. This workshop will present perspectives on the meaning of integration and offer suggestions on how to encourage students to think across learning experiences. The workshop will highlight electronic portfolios as a tool for encouraging integrated learning, but will also provide value for faculty who are not interested in using e-portfolios.
