Online and Hybrid Course Planning

The underlying principles of how people learn apply to both face-to-face and virtual classrooms, but faculty designing courses for technology-based environments need to consider new strategies and tools for organizing a course, presenting content, facilitating activities, and communicating with students. CATLR consultants help faculty to design effective online and hybrid (partially online) courses and to locate appropriate technical support to develop the courses. Because online course development can be time-consuming, we recommend that faculty contact us at least one semester in advance for online course design consultation.

We are happy to consult with small groups of faculty who want to collaborate on online course planning.
