Rosemarie Mitchell
Rosemarie Mitchell credits her education at Northeastern as having prepared her for the real world: "At Northeastern, I learned how to set goals for myself and then achieve them. Succeeding at three different jobs gave me confidence. As president of my class, I gained valuable experience in leadership and public speaking."
Now CEO of ABS Associates, Inc., Rosemarie never let the responsibilities of being CEO of a successful company interfere with her family life. That's because her partner and vice president is her husband Thomas, BA '61.
The Mitchells graduated in June of 1961 and married the following August. Today they are the proud parents of four grown children and founders of ABS, a leading provider of outsourced helpdesk, desktop, and network support and services. Rosemarie is the CEO and Tom is the vice president and chief technology officer. Based out of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, ABS is privately held and employs about 100 professionals serving 100 clients.
Northeastern not only prepared Rosemarie for success in the corporate world, but it also informed how she relates to people. "I enjoy being of service to the community. I am also honored to be an employer. It is a great deal of responsibility to care for the people within your organization."
