08.07.13 — Rachel Tritter ’14 has been awared a 2013 American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) Medal of Excellence. Top law students from around the country are recognized through this program.  Winners receive engraved medals and certificates, as well as a one-year ABI membership. 

In addition to writing a remarkable final exam, Rachel represented labor unions in three complicated business bankruptcy workout simulations during my business bankruptcy course,” said Professor Dan Austin.

“I loved Professor Austin’s bankruptcy class because it gave me the chance to truly interact with the material. Collaborating with other students in the bankruptcy workout simulations allowed us all to understand how the law works in practice,” said Tritter, who has completed co-ops with the Capital Post Conviction Project of Louisiana and State Street Bank & Trust's Mutual Fund Legal Administration, and plans a career in transactional corporate work.
