The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship provides students with financial assistance to attend law school. During his term as ABA President, William G. Paul initiated the scholarship to encourage racially and ethnically diverse students to apply to and attend law school.
The Rhode Island Bar Foundation's Thomas F. Black, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 to support and foster high legal practice standards by assisting Rhode Island residents who show promise that they will become outstanding lawyers and who need financial assistance to study law.
The Adler Pollock $ Sheehan Diversity Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship to be awarded to a minority student entering his or her first year of law school who has demonstrated adademic excellence and a commitment to community.

Open to persons presently in their first year or applying to law school. The applicant must have graduated from a high school in one of the following California counties. The fellowship is for study toward graduate degrees in any discipline or profession. This fellowship is for new Americans who, if born abroad, hold a green card or is a naturalized citizen or whose parents were born abroad as non-U.S. Citizens if at least one parent is a naturalized citizen.
