NUSL's New York Alumni/ae chapter launches a new speaker series: "TRANSFORMING THE PRACTICE OF LAW".  At each of these breakfast events, an NUSL graduate will talk about how she or he has been transforming the practice of law. (Please note you will have to purchase your own breakfast). Kathy Bryan '81, will be the first guest speaker. Kathy is currently the President & CEO for the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR Institute), an international non-profit coalition of corporate counsel, top law firms, judiciary and academics, dedicated to providing resources and information in commercial conflict prevention and dispute management (www.cprard.org).  For over 30 years, the CPR Institute has been at the forefront of promoting alternatives to the high cost of litigation to resolve complex commercial disputes. Prior to taking the helm at the CPR Institute in October 2006, Kathy Bryan was the head of worldwide litigation for Motorola and a corporate vice president of Motorola’s Law Department. She developed and implemented innovations in litigation management techniques during a career that spanned 16 years with the company.

On Saturday, October 22, enjoy the always memorable Reunion Class Dinner and cocktail reception at the nearby, beautifully renovated Colonnade Hotel from 6:30 to 10:30 pm. Surrounding non-reunion classes are always welcome to join us for the dinner.

William J. Mostyn III '74 currently serves as Senior VP and Corporate Secretary at TIAA-CREF, an organization that helps those in the academic, medical, cultural and research fields plan for and live in retirement.

Before joining TIAA-CREF in 1995, he served as Deputy General Counsel, Secretary and Corporate Governance Officer for Bank of America. He also served as Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for The Gillette Company for 31 years. He currently serves as chairman for Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals.
