Each year PHRGE hosts an institute on cutting edge economic, social and cultural rights issues.Discussion focuses on domestic application and implementation of these rights. Each Institute brings human rights advocates, scholars and practitioners together to discuss the topic and explore the ways that human rights can inform analysis and advocacy.  The topics of recent Institutes include "Human Rights and Violence Against Women: Applying the Due Diligence Framework," "Human Rights and the Social Determinants of Health" and "Framing Economic, Social and Cultural Rights for Advocacy and Mobilization: Towards a Strategic Agenda in the United States."
