In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Northeastern University School of Law’s Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project in collaboration with the Northeastern University Humanities Center presents Slavery by Another Name: Uncovering the Untold Stories

Join us for a presentation by Douglas Blackmon, the Pulitzer-Prize winning author of Slavery by Another Name: The Re-Enslavement of Black Americans from the Civil War to World War II, and co-executive producer of the acclaimed PBS documentary of the same name. His is also a contributing editor at The Washington Post and chair and host of “Forum,” a public affairs program aired on more than 100 PBS affiliates across the United States.

50 Years Later: Commemorating the Birmingham Bombing

NUSL graduates and friends gathered for an evening of remembrance, spoken words, and music with Angela Davis and Margaret Burnham, director of the School of Law's Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Clinic. The evening featured a performance by the Vukani Mawethu Choir and a poetry reading by Donte Clark.
