Professor Melinda Drew, the ASP director, is a 1987 graduate of NUSL. After practicing for several years as a lawyer in a small firm, and then as a solo practitioner, Professor Drew returned to NUSL where, in addition to directing the Academic Success Program, she teaches a seminar in Professional Responsibility which incorporates analytical and legal reasoning techniques, and a seminar in Legal Interviewing and Counseling.

Professor Brook Baker is a 1976 graduate of NUSL. In addition to his teaching, he is an AIDS activist, working on, among other things, issues of access to medicines. He teaches Negotiation, an upper-level simulation course, and a Global AIDS policy course. Professor Baker also conducts the ASP Analytical Skills Workshop.
