Q. How long is your co-op?

RK. Six months.

Q. What are your daily responsibilities?

RK. I update the celebrity page, enhance the dining and movie reviews, put together photo galleries and create additional content for stories running in the paper. I also pitch my own ideas, and put together photo galleries that I've created.

Q. Did your co-op help you gain a new perspective on the news industry?

RK. Absolutely. I've learned so much about online journalism and how the world of new media and journalism is changing. It's great to be working at a place that truly is the future of the world of journalism.

Q. Any general thoughts on your experience?

RK. I've had a fabulous co-op thus far at the Boston Globe. I've got the best of both worlds, I get to be at the Globe, but I also have the opportunity to have my hands in the newer, more exploratory side of journalism.
